We were spending a few days in Somerset on a short break from our home on Nottingham. We booked in for a meal on the evening of 1st June and were delighted with what we had found. The restaurant was busy but the staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed, the food was good and all in all a very pleasant experience. If we didn't live 150 miles away we would be back there regularly! Many thanks to Maddie and all the staff. Highly recommended.

Having seen previous reviews decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed. Rob and his staff were very helpful and welcoming and a history lesson to boot. Lovely room overlooking the church. We did the DBB deal such good value for money, excellent evening meal and breakfast. Would highly recommend

Fabulous food and a very friendly team of staff. The pub had a great atmosphere with a strong background music playlist. This place is a hidden gem and well worth a visit. The price of the food is very reasonable for the high quality of the food. We really enjoyed the filet of cod with rosti potatoes and would recommend the fish and chips too. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area and we would love to return!

Located in the town of Bridgwater, the Admiral Blake Guest House offers friendly comfortable accommodation in two large Victorian town houses. The beautiful courtyard and gardens provide a private oasis, so feel free to sit and rest awhile.
This is difficult to review as everything is online/text OK first off this is on the A38 dual carriageway with no where to stop the picture they show is the frontage that is then a path and A38, as such it is a bit of a shock. That said we were on a motorcycle so rode around and back pulled into The Cross Rifle pub opposite and called the Guesthouse. I arranged for safe parking which was on a 1 wat street just before the guesthouse and was in a Company car park locked and CCTV only around the corner, that was good. You access via a coded door lock, texted to you before arrival, we got in and the room was directly to the right of the door. This put it opening to the A38, window to the left of the blue door. The room had high ceilings double glazing and was clean and tidy with neat en suite WAY cleaner then Butlins one. There was a good choice of teas / coffee and the usual kettle etc. As it was warm we had to open the window but the traffic noise Fri evening was rather irritating. Across the road is a retail park with Sainsburys and a couple of restaurants. Once the rush hour traffic died it was not too bad, shutting the windows DID shut out the noise. The bed was comfy and we managed a good nights sleep It is a bit weird not actually seeing anyone. In conclusion it was clean and basic ok for a stopover not sure we would chose to sty there again tho' to be fair I would rather pay a bit more to have parking and at least someone on reception, a Premier Inn or Travelodge would be better at similar price.
