The Crown and Cushion is a delightful pub with 8 en-suite rooms. It is pleasantly situated in Eton High Street, which is a stone's throw from Windsor. Situated in the picturesque setting of Eton High Street, we are surrounded by history. Dating back to the 1600’s, The Crown and Cushion has been an Inn since 1753. Just minutes walk from Windsor Castle and Eton College and a short drive away from various attractions including Legoland, Royal Ascot Racecourse and Cliveden House. Having recently been refurbished, The Crown and Cushion offers you good food and good accommodation at reasonable prices. We have eight en-suite rooms: 2 Kings, 5 Doubles and 1 compact double. Put up beds can be added if needed at no extra cost; please discuss this at time of booking. Continental and a full English breakfast is included. The building is full of character and is very quirky in places. Allegedly built from old ships timbers, some of the floors are wonky and lots of the floorboards are creaky – but that is what makes it charming! The rooms are situated over two floors so if you require a first floor room please mention at the time of booking and we will do our best. We have an unusual American theme and our aim is to make you feel as relaxed as possible and send you off happy whether you have just had a drink, meal or a whole night’s stay. There is an outside patio should you wish to eat or drink outside. All our food is available for takeaway if you don’t have time to stop or you want to eat at home. For our staying guests, parking is available on site but this is not unlimited and we therefore request that parking is allocated to one car per booking. We will try and accommodate any reasonable request from any of our customers so if you do have any special requirements then please just ask.
Location was good, short walk from Windsor Castle and train station with a nice selection of bars and shops close by. Room was small and fairly basic but clean and comfortable. Sleep quality wasn’t great though. This is an old building so as you’d expect there’s creaky floorboards and poor sound insulation so we were kept awake by other guests coming and going/moving around during the night. The breakfast included in the price was decent but only served between 8am and 9am on the days we stayed - not ideal to have to be up and ready that early on holiday. Staff were friendly and the bar and beer garden were nice places to relax.

Finding an ideal quaint inn in Colnbrook does not have to be difficult. Welcome to Ostrich Inn, a nice option for travelers like you, close to Heathrow Airport. Ostrich Inn features bar, restaurant, function room as well as private dining spaces with a well lit outdoor green terrace. Plus, guests can enjoy breakfast added to their package, which has made this a popular choice among travellers visiting Colnbrook. For guests with a vehicle, free parking is available for the night of their stay and parking available at a nightly charge when travelling from Heathrow Airport. Ostrich Inn puts the best of Colnbrook at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.
The room was actually quite nice and had a fabulous shower! Even though the toilet was broken and difficult to flush, the room was fine. We ordered breakfast for 8 a.m. and needed to leave for Heathrow by 9, we were told that this would be fine when we checked in (breakfast runs 8-10 a.m.) When we went to the restaurant for breakfast at 8 a.m. the doors were locked and the cook was standing outside. She told us she had been there for an hour waiting to start work. The owner would not answer her phone calls. While waiting outside in the beer garden it was obvious that the staff had partied a bit too much the evening prior, especially obvious when waking up to all of their trash and empty glasses and liquor bottles still out. We knew it was the staff because we saw them when we went to bed. We did finally get breakfast 30 min late (thanks to the cook who promised to get started as soon as she got inside) but only had time to eat half before catching our taxi. There was another couple there that never received their food and were about to leave all together. This place has great potential but is poorly managed. The village is lovely. We stopped at 3 pubs, all great: Punch Bowl (cheapest beer), Old Geoge, and ended at Ostrich (more expensive per pint by 1 or 2 pounds).

This is a great building in a pretty village outside Marlow. The Japanese food in the restaurant was delicious and Jack who served us and checked us in was exceptional, friendly and very helpful. We stayed in one of the small rooms which was great for one night.

My sister and I stayed for 2 nights this weekend. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Fresh white robes, slippers, tea & coffee making facilities, everything is well catered for. There was a really good choice of breakfast with everything being freshly cooked. There is plenty of parking for all guests on site, with approximately 25 mins walk into town. Best of all the Taxi cabs are the most reliable we've ever used, always available and £6.00 (as of 8.5.22) in to town which competes with £5.80 bus fare (2 people). We highly recommend Park Farm and hope it continues to do well.

We arrived in Windsor in the late afternoon, tired after a long drive with our youngtimer cars. The Owner, the Staff and even the Customers too (thanks again Jim) are incredible. The park area, close to te rooms, is a no-stress value if you are driving classic cars. Room are clean, comfortable and full optional. We feel as we were at home. Center of the town is 20 minutes walk from the hotel. A top rated solution.

Beautiful gem of a hotel close to Highclere Castle, so perfect if you’re planning a visit there. Comfortable rooms decorated beautifully. Very friendly helpful staff. The breakfast was super tasty and we ate in the restaurant which I can highly recommend…especially the lamb cutlets! Gorgeous place and would definitely stay again….and it’s dog friendly so even better!

The menu focuses on fresh grilled food giving a brasserie style, with excellent weekend brunches alongside classic and light lunches with daily specials complementing the dinners.
Went to a birthday do which was great. The pub is nicely spacious and has a nice little garden at the back. Decor is nice too. I didn't stay overnight so can't comment on the rooms, only the pub and the garden.

They ran out of the wine of our choice, elderberry tonic water and then they charged £12 for TWO scallops for my starter!! They weren’t even big scallops. On the positive side, both main meals were delicious and service staff were really attentive. We would go back but would just be ordering the mains next time.

I was impressed by the tasteful furnishings of the Bird in Hand, and there were thoughtful touches in our room. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We just ate breakfast there, but it was one of the best breakfast menus I have seen. It was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. I had the scrambled eggs and chalk stream trout on sourdough. They must have an excellent chef.
