Nice comfortable room and great food
Reviewed By PotocikovciWe stayed 1 night on the way to Cadiz. Our room was very nice and quiet. We also had a dinner with a selection of the typical Spanish dishes. My tuna steak was just fantastic! Local families come and eat here and the food quality for the money you pay is excellent. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Hotel with 19 rooms in front of the best beach of Caños de Meca, only 20 meters and close to the Natural Park.Double rooms with double beds or two individual with views to the sea and natural park. All have complete bathroom with dryer, safe, terrace with sea views, t.v. satellite, heating. Wi-Fi. Private parking.

Reviewed By laurahV8361PGThis is a real gem of a place in Los Caños! We spent a relaxing 7 nights here in a beautiful room with sea views and a small private balcony. Breakfast is served on a lovely terrace filled with plants and flowers - a great way to start the day! Free parking is a real bonus. Wifi connection was somewhat patchy in the room but perfect on the downstairs terrace area. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Location is perfect - easy walk to great restaurants in either direction and the beach. Highly recommended! We will definitely return!

Great location and amazing value!
Reviewed By DaniFaganGood breakfast options, great coffee, easy parking, comfy beds, good air-conditioning, spotlessly clean. Nice grass lawn out front with shady areas to cop a spot if needed. Really close to the beach, 5 min walk if that. Couple of nice beach bars a few mins walk away, one had live music, both had limited food options but more than enough! Only downsides were that the fridge in the room wasn't very efficient, barely kept things cold..and the little terrace space outside our door was literally a foot away from the next door neighbours table...nothing to separate us from them so we couldnt sit outside.

Reviewed By TopFrogThis hostal is clean and tidy with super friendly lady on reception who looked after us. Good value for money, Barbate is a very unspoilt resort with a nature reserve right nearby. Would come back! Excellent and cheap Spanish Breakfast at Mediteraneo cafe round the corner.

Renovated hotel and very friendly and hospitable staff
Reviewed By rgueWe stayed 3 days in this recently renovated hotel. Our room was very nice, clean and full of light. Wi-Fi worked very well too. Every day of our stay we also had a lovely breakfast at an additional cost of about 4 Euros only. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Reception is open 24/7 which is very much appreciated. I definitely recommend this hotel.

We started in Barbate and checked 5 hostels/Casas/hotels before we found a room at El Capi. Run by Beatriz and her sister and a brother they and staff so friendly. Only downside about 15-20 mins walk to the beach and in the heat opted to drive there - lots of parking at Euro 3 Several restaurants within 5/10 mins walk but you cannot go wrong eating at El Capi

The Alhambra Hotel is located 3 km from the pretty fishing village of Caños de Meca. The towns of Barbate, Conil and Vejer are 10 minutes away by car. A comfort stay with a great pool
Reviewed By AngeliqueHollandWe really enjoyed staying here and even booked a night extra. The room is comfy and clean. The swimming pool was very nice. One of the woman at the desk didn't talk english but she still managed to explain where we could find some restaurant. Since it was off season there weren't so many restaurants open in Zahora, but there was still enough to find. We had a car and went to Cadiz and Gibraltar. And also went to Conil and Vejer de la Frontera, which were beautiful white villages where we had lunch and diner. The beaches in Zahora and the next villages were very nice and beautiful. Overall a great place to stay to visit cities in the neighbourhood.

Clean, good food and very friendly owners

The owners were very nice and helpful and when they noticed one of our party had mobility problems, they offered her a room on the ground floor. Both our rooms were very clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom had a shower. Spanish breakfast was 3 Euro's each for coffee and toast, which was taken in the resaurant, we had evening meal once and it was excellent, had the 'catch of the day' which was lovely. The restaurant seems very popular with locals, which is good to see. The nearby beach is spectular, about a 15 min walk, very windy though, El Palmar beach is about a 10 minute drive away, but well worth a visit. The owners also let us use the swimming pool at the Casa, which was fantastic as we had it to ourselves and is about a 3 minute walk away. Fantastic location for visiting other towns, like Vejer de la Frontier, really recommend a trip to Los Canos de Meca, it had a really laid back, hippy vibe to it !

Great getaway from Rick Steves
Reviewed By StoutlandsWe stayed here a week and could have easily stayed a month. Nice rooms and a very quaint courtyard. It was late June, almost no one else was around, mostly Spaniards from Sevilla or Granada. Attentive staff: We asked for another room and they quickly moved us, they opened up the swimming pool and made us feel very much at home. Big plus was the game room ( foosball, ping pong, pool) adnof course easy walking distance to Cape Trafalgar beaches. And did I say affordable? 1/2 the price we spent when in Sevilla. You will need a car here in our to do beach hopping. An ideal place for our family to explore Costa de la Luz: close to wonderful beaches, lots of trails, etc. Very far away from any of the Rick Steves crowd!
