It is so wonderful to walk along a path lined by palm trees and other foliage that offer a bit of shade on a hot day. Playa Las Cuevas connects with Playa Malpaso and in a lower tide it is easy to go around the sand by the rock bluff to get to Malpaso and then hike the length of that beautiful beach.

A long stretch of beach, directly across the highway from Club Maeva.
Went here three times on our holidays, fantastic beach to walk and swim. Plenty of options to stop for a rest, drink food etc. Not busy like Puerto Vallarta. Various places have happy hour drinks.

The nearest beach to the cruise terminal.
A great place to spend an afternoon. People watching is great as well as enjoying the water. Come every year to enjoy a day here.

Beach located in the Golden Zone.
We walked the beach from the Malecon to the Marina (1 hour walk) every day during our recent trip. The beach wide and flat and the sea is safe with a shallow grade. Be careful to check the tide though as when the tide is in, it is more difficult to navigate some areas of the beach,

A beach leading to Las Minitas.
Beautiful beach. Lovely small restaurants directly on the sand serving wonderful fresh seafood. The scenery is amazing. Not too touristy.

This former coconut and mango plantation is now the best beach in Ixtapa.
An absolutely beautiful, clean, coco sand beach, excellent for long walks in the morning or early evening, some good waves, super warm water temperature in November, baby turtles were hatching, and mama turtles were laying eggs at night while we were there early November.

A peaceful, popular beach.
Barra Vieja beach is south of the airport. About 40 min. from the main avenue in Acapulco along the beach (Costera). Warm water. Nice sand. Worth a visit.

Located between the cliffs of Punta del Burro, this beach is popular with sunbathers and surfers alike.
We stay in Bucerias but we love Destiladeras Beach better than anywhere. Up the coast a few minutes from La Cruz, it is easily assessible by bus if you do not have your own transportation. The best sand and wonderful for long walks. Food/drinks is available as well as chairs and umbrellas to rent.
