This lake is where the legend of El Dorado originated.
Super fun day trip, there is a moderate hike, about 15 minutes to get to the top, mostly stairs, only challenging because of the altitude (~3000 m). View is incredible. There is a Spanish guided tour, explaining some of the history and vegetation in the area; hopefully someone in your group or you speak Spanish to understand this (or if you have a private tour, you should be good too). Definitely recommend in your 2-3 days in Bogota. There is likely to be rain, so have a good rain jacket.

Very nice and pleasant stay at Crystal beach. The water is super clean and you can see many yellow fishes very close to the sand. There are available chairs/umbrella to rent and a small restaurant.

The san luis beach is a bit more off the grid than the main beaches since its on the other side of the island so you can get a bit more privacy here. The beaches are always white and the water has different tones of blue. This place is great for picture taking and getting into the water.

Playa Juan de Dios is a Nature Reserve and a hidden Paradise located a few hours from Cali, Colombia. The closest town is Buenaventura. This place is easily accessible by boat, which is an adventure in itself with it’s breathtaking scenery. The deserted beach that awaits you here .is like taken out of a movie. At Playa Juan de Dios you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to the birdsong. The Pacific Ocean lays right in front of your door and the wild jungle and Mangrove forest behind. This in itself is completely unique and provides great diversity. The list of activities available here are endless, but my favorites are kayaking trough the mangrove forests with a pit stop by the water temple and long jungle walks. The breathtaking waterfall and natural springs at the beach next door is definitely worth a visit. Whale safari is also available here. The bohios (Colombian bungalows) are super cute and rustic with simple outdoor toilets and showers attached. These are located far apart from each other, which is a huge benefit as it gives you tons of privacy. Camping here is also possible. Whether you travel solo, with a partner or with your family, this is a place definitely worth visiting. Juan de Dios also accepts volunteers. Marco the owner and his son Sebastian are amongst the most beautiful humans I’ve ever met. I’m forever grateful for the way they welcomed me into their family. I will never forget my stay here with them. And last but not least; Martika and Maria cooks the most delicious gourmet meals for you, which in itself is worth the visit. Muchísimas Gracias!

Peaceful, beautiful, amazing I love Boyacá landscapes, also I love cold weather, the lake is beautiful, the beach is wonderful too, even it's artificial or natural, you can take a shower to reboot your nervous system or just seat there and relax listening to the water and the wind.

The best place for kite surfing (I reccomend Tawi center) and more. A combination of desert and turquoise Caribbean sea.

It is located in Tairona Park. To go there you see the sea of the 7 waves, you can stay here or go to Cristal Beach. Very attractive place because of the mountains close to it.
