Walk the Freedom Trail the first time you visit Boston and you'll quickly get a sense of this coastal city's revolutionary spirit and history. But make sure you also explore some of Boston's fine museums (try the Isabella Stewart Gardner, featuring masterpieces displayed in their collector's mansion) and old neighborhoods (like the North End, Boston's Little Italy). You can't claim to have experienced real Boston culture, though, until you've watched a Red Sox game from the bleachers.

Randomly found this dive bar while out in Boston. Visiting the area for a Red Sox game, we wanted to go out after the game. The bars in the area were packed crazy. I love the small laid back bars and went in search of places most people don't crowd to. This place was perfect! It is cash only here, but there is an ATM here if you don't carry any (like me) and just have your debit card. There was no waiting around in long lines, the bartenders were great and the people here were laid back and so was the atmosphere. I'll be back here for sure on my next trip to Boston!
