My husband and I were just looking for a bathroom when we happened upon this place. So charming and quaint. The shopkeeper invited us in to use the facilities. My husband and I saw the sign for cigar and beers and we sat down for a drink or two. Speaking with Juggie is a treat. He has a soft heart and does fundraising for breast cancer research. My bra is hanging among all the others at the bar! If you go, please don't miss the Raise The Dead shots! We took home many souvenirs including wonderful home made chocolate rum and a variety of spices! This is a hidden gem that you should seek out. People from all over the world stop here for a few laughs and treasures to take home. We've made a stop here for the last 15 years while cruising. Makes me smile just thinking about it! We can't wait to return!

The Hole in the Wall is St Maarten’s hot spot for local talent ... live music every night .. open 7 days a week . Come on over and rock the night away with our amazing musicians playing nothing but the best and classics from the 60s 70s and 80s !!
Stopped by here after seeing the Holey Bartenders' video on Youtube about how to make a Whiskey Sour, in which they mentioned they worked here, and I absolutely loved it! Great drinks at a reasonable price, awesome live music, and a pool table in the back! What more can you ask for? My go to spot on the island.

Such a fun new spot in Maho! Different kind of atmosphere from anywhere else on SXM. Sometimes it gets a little weird (in a good way), but it's always tons of fun! They even have a wheel of misfortune that you spin for $1, with a chance to get shots. The owner, Nikita (sometimes referred to as Sassy Nikita), is a delight, and can keep you up to date with all the news going on around the island. So if you want a good, reasonably priced drink, with informative news, ask for Nikita. Also, free pop corn and $2 tostis is an amazing deal! Will be coming back many times!

Les Mardis de Grand Case (aka Harmony Night) is a street fair where locals sell food and art/crafts. Occurs every Tuesday night (6:00 pm to 10:30 pm) from January to April.
We were in SM for a week in Feb 2020 and were able to catch the Mardi Gras parade on one of the Grand Case Tuesday nights. We ate at one of the Lolos in Grant Case, I think it was called Top of the World (or Top of the Sky) and we had chicken and ribs, johnny cakes, etc. It was basic, but good. The scene down at Grand Case that night was super busy and hectic, but fun. Lots, to see and do, artist fare to buy, drinks to be had, etc. Later in the week we ate at the Lolo behind the first one (I think it was called Rib City), and it was terrible. Awful service and the food was not as good. So go to the front one with the yellow seating.

My wife and I stopped in here one evening after hanging at beaches all day. If you ask Dany how he's doing, he'll tell you "smooth". This is a super friendly and laid-back place. There is a bar with chairs and also tables and then he has chairs and umbrellas down closer to the water and the view of the sunsets, sea and sailboats is awesome. We just hung out and had some beers but he's got a lot of stuff behind the bar and apparently food which we didn't order. The place is basic... there is an 'outhouse' for women and bushes for men, LOL. There is a big blue sign off the main road near the golf course... turn onto the dirt road, park in an open area and you're there. I wish I was there right now, to be honest. Cheers to Dany.
