Ramsgate is a seaside town in the district of Thanet in east Kent, England. It was one of the great English seaside towns of the 19th century. In 2001 it had a population of around 40,000. Ramsgate’s main attraction is its coastline, and its main industries are tourism and fishing. The town has one of the largest marinas on the English south coast, and the Port of Ramsgate has provided cross-channel ferries for many years.

One of those pubs to seek out and enjoy for what it is. Unspoilt, back street local where people talk and create the atmosphere. Probably one of the best local beers, Gadds No 7 at £2.80 a pint. All beer very reasonably priced and in perfect condition. Will return.

Since opening in Oct 2013 Ramsgate Music Hall has built a solid reputation as one of the UK's finest small venues winning the NME's Britain's Best Small Venue award in 2015. In its short history the venue has hosted a diverse range of acts including Neneh Cherry, Sleaford Mods, Jungle Brothers, Beak and many, many more.
Well ! What a pleasant and unexpected surprise this music venue is and it,s on my doorstep in Thanet too ! We booked tickets in advance at a bargain £7 each to see a good band that I,ve recently discovered called Port Erin who I saw on their website were playing at this venue . If you like Radiohead/ XTC / Talking Heads then you will like this band . Most of their tracks are over 5 minutes long and this 3 piece band played very well on the night . As this venue is small and intimate , I was able to talk with Rueben - Singer/ Guitarist with Port Erin , and we had a great chat afterwards and I think that he appreciated my positive comments about his bands music incl their lastest album . You can't do this at some bigger venues ! The staff ( particularly the barmaid ) were very friendly and chatty . The bar is upstairs from the stage and is very quirky but in an interesting pleasant way Downstairs is where the stage is and the capacity for this venue I understand is approx 130 people . There is what looks like a permanent sound mixing desk and the sound was good on the night if not just slightly too loud . Another feature that I like about this venue is that you can watch what's happening on the stage on a screen upstairs in the bar area . I liked that original idea which I,ve not seen before elsewhere . There also was a projection show going on behind the band as they were playing which you probably would,nt get at other small music venues of this size . This definitely enhanced the enjoyment of Port Erin's performance in my opinion . I noticed that this venue proudly boasts that it has won the best smallest music venue in Britain award ! Well done to the owners who have obviously invested their time and money into this excellent music venue and better still that it is in Thanet too ! So , come music lovers of all types of music and get yourself down to this great little Music venue . I look forward to returning again for a gig very soon !

Situated in a former Hair Salon in Minster High Street near Ramsgate in Thanet, we are a an Ale & Cider House and we look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy our beers, ciders, wines, atmosphere, conversation and laughs.
I love it here. It’s like popping over to a friend’s for a pint and a catch up. Because it’s so small and cosy there’s none of the normal settle in to a quiet corner/booth in a big pub and keeping yourself to yourself. You end up talking to everyone and meeting new people each time you go. Gary and Julie make everyone welcome and the drinks are cheap. A good mix of real ales and ciders which is cycled regularly.

Bought a new house and the deal. The solicitors reservations and need for more information was sorted and settled over a relaxing pint or two. The beers are good, the bar staff helpful and welcoming to incomers, the punters also welcoming and generous. Great food on Wednesday evenings by Chef Simon!

Lovely little micropub, very friendly and enthusiastic staff. Atmosphere is warm, bubbly, and everyone very welcoming and friendly. Love the fact you choose your drink off of the chalkboard, loved you can have samples of each ale (on the off chance you don't like it), and especially loved the fact you can opt for a takeaway ale. Excellent place to come to for a mini date.

It's back to being a great little local tucked away from the madness of a Friday night. Landlord and Landlady genuinely seem pleased to see you and made you feel welcome. Many of the older crowd that used to use it are back. Great early Friday evening drink.
