Hay Merchant is a place that has it all. A relaxing setting at a perfect location with easy access and a beer list that will enchant any beer enthusiast. The food is simple but well prepared that doesn’t shy away from big flavors. We had the Korean Dumplings borrowed from former sister Underbelly, wings and the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich and to cap our experience we ordered a Tres Leches bread pudding that gave us the perfect end.

The Houston Watch Co. is a lobby bar located in the space where the city's railroad workers had their time-pieces serviced and synchronized. Full of historic period detail dating back to 1912, the intimate and softly lit space has a full compliment of wine, beer, spirits and especially whsikey.

Carl Allaz is hands down the best bartender I have ever had. He has a genuine care for the well being of his patrons. He makes great drinks and hi mixing methods are always on point. Carls service is second to no one. For that reason alone I will always highly recommend the Intercontinental Hotel in the Medical Center to everyone. Visiting the bar and allowing Mr. Carl to be your bartender is a must.

If you have never been, you need to get there as soon as possible! It is intimate and there is never a bad band. I have been over 100 times in the last ten years, often to artist I already know, but sometimes just because I’m in the mood for some live music. Rusty always shows his guests a great time! The food is another amazing part of the night. There is nothing bad on the menu, but I especially love to get the shepard’s pie! The drinks and beer are reasonably priced as well.

My son was married at Nouveau. Such friendly people and a very unique venue for the wedding. They gave up the entire place to the wedding. The Tiffany Lamps! Such a dichotomy between the warehouse structure and the cool factor of the lams and the bar.

With 75 plus beers on tap and a great bottled beer selection you won't need another place. Not only do they have a huge selection on draft but they have great quality selection of excellent bottled craft brews, a phenomenal quality selection. They have a simple food menu of sandwiches, flatbreads and pretzels. The atmosphere is truly awesome, very welcoming, inviting and gives you that warm cozy feeling. A place you wish you had a few steps from your home.
