Rogues Bar is Guildford's favourite late night venue for Over 25s, host to the biggest and best beer garden in town, shortlisted as one of the top ten gardens in the UK by Union Jack Radio in 2020.
Booked our table and had a lovely evening with my 5 friends. Staff have thought of everything for covid safety. Outside the gazebos and canopies with heating make for a lovely venue.

This is a venue I know quite well seeing bands pre covid , however I have never eaten here before. There were a couple of Vegan options online so agreed to try it out. The interior has been opened up inside and has had a lot of work done internally to allow for social distancing, there are now small tables and lots of hand gel . We were asked to sign in for track n trace , very reassuring. We sat inside as it was quite windy but there’s an abundance of outside seating . There were a couple of pie options and a spicy vegan burger. I opted for the mushroom chickpea and shallot in sherry pie ,after ordering the landlady popped out to say the gravy was vegetarian and not Vegan also very reassuring. I’m not usually a pie fan but i may have been converted ! the pastry was light and flaky and filling delicious and rich . Served with chips and mushy peas ,also something I would not normally eat but slightly minty and tasty. The drinks were a great price the staff were lovely , If your looking for a hearty Vegan meal in a hip music venue I would recommend the Holroyd .

We frequently visit the White House for Sunday lunch as a family. I book the day before because it can be fully booked on the day. The website is easy to use and you get email confirmation. The staff are very friendly and helpful with additional requirements. My son likes mustard on everything! The kids menu is good, especially the chocolate brownie. Being a Fullers pub the beer is great and they also have non alcohol beer if you are so inclined. There is a good selection of gins as well:) As we book we get a table usually in the conservatory area where it’s table service. The White House has a selection on board games stacked downstairs which help entertain the little ones. My favourite roast is the rare beef. My husband likes the trio of meats. The roast chicken is probably the biggest portion size wise. I like that some of the vegetables come on a side dish to share. The cauliflower cheese is one of my favourites. The toilets have recently been repainted and are now very smart. I’ve never eaten upstairs, but I believe you can and get a very good view over the river. In summer we like to eat outside. A good all round pub just remember to book in advanced:)
