Built in 1901, this pub retains most of its refitting from c.1930, in Glasgow Art Nouveau style. The public bar has an impressive mirrored gantry with stained glass cupboard fronts and ten drawers, a long bar counter, and extensive panelling. The Golfers bar is a family friendly pub with a childs license up till 8pm. The Golfers often hosts live music on Friday and Saturday nights. The Golfers accepts pets and we offer bowls of water and treats too!
Cracking wee boozer. Good selection of drinks and cheery, friendly staff. Great location. Even despite Covid times-which they were excellent in taking all necessary steps, a nice wee atmosphere and buzz can be found in the pub. Alas, we couldn't get in the next night as it was empty but "full". Well Covid full haha.

A great little pub on Bute with a decent range of drinks. Caledonian Best on offer, £2.50 a pint! Also has a lovely little beer garden to relax in the sun.

I’ve just eaten the best fish and chips ever!!! Huge portion and so so tasty. I can’t praise it highly enough. Feather light batter and perfect chips. Given the restrictions - we had to eat outside (as I was drinking alcohol) but this added to the enjoyment. There’s a gazebo with fairy lights and a patio heater and everyone is so friendly. We’ll be back next week!

Lovely pub with service from the owner who truly cares about making your experience authentic! We wanted to try whiskey and this pub was recommended to us and it was well worth the visit. The owner and the locals were so friendly, thank you for a great night!

Great friendly pub and we were made to feel very welcome and watched the football with the regulars. Price was reasonable and decor nice and clean.

The View Oban not only offers live Scottish music shows throughout the summer, but is also a club night venue on Saturday nights and throughout the winter for locals and visitors to the area.
Bought tickets for the Hogmanay Ceilidh as was travelling to Oban for the New Year. Great atmosphere, great band, reasonably priced drinks. Had a lovely night in a very relaxed atmosphere, would definitely recommend.

I was there June 2019 with my wee dog Lulu. Staff was excellent especially Mandy who was so super friendly. Was supposed to return to Bute 2020 but Covid stopped that, hopefully be back in 2021
