I went to the reopening of the Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture, after its recent refurbishment, and there are not enough superlatives to describe it. If you want a totally joyful, uplifting and magical experience go and get lost in the beauty and humour around every nook and corner. I loved it and know you will too.

Free, family friendly Exhibition that chronicles the life, work and cultural context of Dylan Thomas, one of the most notable Welsh poets. Through an interactive timeline, audiovisual material and original worksheets, books and recordings, the 'Love the Words' exhibition celebrates Dylan's poetry, prose, radio broadcasts and film scripts. The Centre also runs a programme of activities throughout the year supporting the Exhibition, including creative writing workshops and free family events.
I found this to be a really imaginatively curated exhibition for all ages and all levels of interest. Whether it’s Dylan Thomas or just ‘words’. Plenty of information in bite sized pieces and engaging activities for children. A real celebration of the man, his work, of art, literature and ‘words’. Recommended.

We spent a damp Saturday afternoon with our 5 year old granddaughter in the Egypt Centre at Swansea University. What a fascinating place to visit, staffed with very knowledgeable volunteer guides whose enthusiasm was infectious. Although consisting effectively of only two rooms, the exhibits and activities were displayed cleverly to draw you in and take you through the contrasting themes of 'Death' and 'Life' in ancient Egypt. Our granddaughter was in her element and took a worryingly wrapt interest in the mummification presentation! And it's all free!

Brilliant exhibition and well worth visiting and telling others to visit as well. Superb embroidery done by a large number of people from the local community to celebrate two hundred years since the Last Invasion of the French against the Welsh in 1797. Has an accompanying film which shows how the Tapestry was made.

Parc Howard Museum is a majestic Bath stone villa surrounded by beautiful gardens. Its displays tell the fascinating story of a remarkable town, its people, character and events. It is also home to the largest public collection of Llanelli Pottery and works of art by and of Llanelli subjects. Fila urddasol o gerrig nadd yw Amgueddfa Parc Howard gyda gerddi prydferth o'i chwmpas. Mae'r arddangosfeydd a geir yno yn adrodd stori tref ryfeddol, ei phobl, ei chymeriadau a'r hyn a ddigwyddodd yno. Mae'r amgueddfa hefyd yn gartref i'r casgliad cyhoeddus mwyaf o grochenwaith Llanelli a gweithiau celf gan arlunwyr lleol.
This museum was filled with interesting artefacts that explained the industry and crafts of the area. The children loved the fact that the staff put themselves out to be friendly and explain things to them; they were exceptional and made our visit fun and informative. The grounds are really lovely and there is a very nice, well maintained childrens playpark. We were amazed to find such a lovely place to visit that was totally free which was a huge bonus when so many attractions are so expensive. We would all highly recommend this place for both children and adults alike.
