Been coming here for over thirty years. Getting to watch a glass artist painstakingly create a work of art never gets old. Beautiful pieces to buy in a gorgeous setting. Nice stop along with Mossy Creek Pottery.

As first time visitors we were excited to explore Eugene and chose Studio West as one of our first stops. The drive to the studio alone is amazing, it’s grand country side with a clear view of the Cascade mountains and main route to the best wineries was an unexpected benefit. Once off the main road it was a treat to see the wilderness at its best, ducks; deer; sheep; horse farms and more! We were surprise and happy to feel the tranquility of open farm land and its colorful fields. My friends from the city couldn’t stop wowing how beautiful the drive was. We weren’t even to the studio location and we all agreed we had made the right choice. Easy to find and a warm welcome from the owners felt like we had made it home greeted by chickens; ducks; doggies a great chalet home nestled in the woods. Excited to start the glass blowing, Ciara & Alex were informative and caring, sincerely wanting us to have a personalized and great experience. Indeed it was! Truely creative and comitted to their love of art was felt by their professionalism, patience and positive attitude. Studio West exceeded our expectations and the experience we had is still the main highlite we talk about to our family and friends. Can’t wait for our next visit!

We had the tour and it was very informative. The guide took time to answer questions and show how things were done in addition to talking about the different parts of the “lost wax” method. He showed actual pieces in all the different stages - pieces were as small as leaves and as large as a 24 inch piece that would be welded to others for a whole sculpture. Good for kids elementary age and older. This is the place that cast the bronze wreaths and other things for the WW II Memorial in DC. We got to see finished 7ft tall elk, and a finished speckled trout that will sell for $50,000. This is a great tour in the midst of a place with majestic scenery.

This is a fully operational glass blowing shop, where you can get up close and even try your hand at blowing molten 2000 degree glass. The artisans are usually working producing all kinds of glass art from vases, bowls to paperweights and sculptural pieces. Come browse the gift shop, or just stay and visit. It does get warm so can be very nice in the winter!
Easy glass blowing for people who have never done it before. Wonderful selection of colors for making floats or ornaments. Awesome explanations!!

We are a non-profit community art project who's mission is to build and exhibit aesthetically powerful art to educate a global audience about plastic pollution in oceans and waterways and spark positive changes in consumer habits.
This is a must visit if you care about the health of our oceans. They provide a great education regarding the polluting of our beaches and the negative impact on sea life, The sculptures are amazing, made from trash picked up at beaches
