We are a family-friendly bookshop (both new and secondhand) and art gallery. Exhibitions change regularly. We are also the home of the annual book art competition, the Biblio Art Prize. We also host music, performances and book talks - please email us if you have any ideas! We encourage people to come in and spend time browsing, settle on a couch with a book, play a game of chess, give the pianola a go, and we have a great train track set for the kids! Open daily through January. Thus - Mon 11-5 all other times.
Such a beautiful place, every corner has something else to delight your eyes or brain. Enter through a spectacular orange door to a gallery of intriguing artworks regularly updated, then into the bookshop, a converted Masonic hall that makes superb use of light and warm timber colours as well as a rainbow of decorations. Books to satisfy every possible desire and very reasonably priced. Staff friendly and knowledgable. Didn't even mind me playing their piano while my kids perused books and played with the train set.

Whalebone gallery is a co-operative gallery in Port Fairy, a small coastal village at the end of the Great Ocean Road. The gallery is run by its artist members and features examples of some of the finest work of this region. The artists work in a variety of media including paint, ink, textiles, glass, photography and jewellery.

Qdos Gallery is set high on a hill. The outdoor sculptures enhance the natural setting that embraces you. An added bonus is the actual art exhibited inside from a variety of fabulous artists. One of my favorite is oil paintings by Rimona Kedem. Vibrant & original. There is a great café which which allows you to reflect the exhibition over coffee.

Warrnambool Art Gallery’s collection shows the vision and aspiration of this region and its people. There is an air of possibility, a maverick spirit, and a collection of myths, risks and experiments. These collective imaginings have made the Gallery an important space that explores the essence of the modern Warrnambool — how its people see themselves, how outsiders can gain insight into the unique culture here and what it might become. WAG is a social hub, a custodian and meeting place that provides culture and education. It is a place where people come for activities that inspire, question and create positive, creative communities. Take a moment to explore our Collection and plan your visit to the Gallery and the region.
This is a small regional gallery but the collection was well hung with interesting connections made between differing pieces of art. The staff were friendly and the gallery shop had some interesting products for sale. If you’re visiting Warrnambool, it’s worth a visit.

What caught our eye was the sign out front advertising a local artists exhibition. The building is relatively new and a great design, it has rooms on the ground floor and others upstairs. The local artist happened to be there and gave us a great insight into the paintings that were on display. The prices were reasonable but the hard part was to pick our favourite! You definitely need to visit this gallery as you will not be disappointed!
