I cannot compliment Michael and Pedro highly enough. We have bought a number of pieces for our home in the Algarve and they have artists to suit multiple styles and budgets. Recently I even commissioned a piece for a friends special birthday and they made it hassle free and shipped directly to her in the uk. They went above and beyond to make it get there quickly and it’s perfect. Well worth a little adventure into the countryside. Thank you guys- we will be back again!

A huge and unused storage space in the region’s biggest winery - an authentic industrial place where the smells of wine hover around. Nearly everything was left untouched, even the rough dark old walls, while the integration of a perfect infrastructure for a modern art gallery with a gigantic light system went ahead. The result: 3.000 m² breathtaking contrast of space. Looking forward meeting you!

In a typical old farmhouse, we produce functional pottery, tiles and prints with local themes such as olives, lemons and sardines. Although using traditional craft techniques, the design of the work is fresh and contemporary. The studio shop is open to the public all year round.

Galeria LAR, a space run by LAC - Laboratório de Actividades Criativas. A multifuntional space focused on the artistic diffusion, informal, friendly, decorated by a local artist Jorge Pereira. It is a space that invites you to have a drink while enjoying an exhibition, a performance or participating in a debate or conference. With an eclectic range of tastes and activities, Galeria LAR accepts proposals from artists, creators and cultural entities. It is a place to relax in the evening and get to know another side of the city of Lagos. Galeria LAR is housed in a building that also intends to receive and accomodate artists in residence integrated in LAC's projects.

Leonels work is exceptional. His shop showcases a wonderful variety of pieces, along with his daughters work. It is a must visit in Monchique, and the Alvarge especially if you love ceramics. Despite limited english, Leonel and I spoke at length of his work, kiln temperatures and glazing. He was so generous with his time. All pieces are unique and reasonably priced (if anything too cheap!), ranging from €8-100+. Finding any ceramics of this quality in the UK would be 5x the price.
