Some very exciting art pieces in this beautiful gallery. Very contemporary, with some local artists. Love the work of Beverlee Beaudet (Canadian ceramist).

Galeria Nepantla is the concept gallery of controversial international artist Isis Rodriguez. She is a contemporary myth painter and pioneer specializing in "nepantlic art", meaning "those in the process of evolution." Isis Rodriguez paints symbolic still lifes, archetypes and scenes showing the process of conflict moving toward resolution. Galeria Nepantla offers art tours, art classes and fully furnished studio apartment rentals for remote work or relaxation.
The current exhibit, CRUSH, presents a brave approach to an innovative perspective and understanding on the experience of dating in a world where traditional binary male-female labels are changing dramatically. Acceptance of any sexual identity that doesn’t fit into the norms of society is finally becoming part of a conversation, for which Isis's work creates a compelling and inspirational platform, one that comes from her own experience, open-mindedness, and willingness to put herself out there with bravery and authenticity. And…I’ve been single and “NOT ready to mingle” for a while but I went to the party and left with an amazing new CRUSH….who I’ve been dating ever since….who knew?

We are a new art gallery in the center of Guanajuato city. Our artists are graduates or students of art universities in the country. We are a creative company that encourages artists to fulfill their dreams. EVA is a creative space that you have to visit to learn about the emerging art of Mexico.
Art from across Mexico, Latin America, Canada the USA and beyond, the atmosphere in Envision Arte is warm, informed and connected. Gibran welcomed us with a personal tour and stories about each of the featured artists. Later, we enjoyed a miraculous opening with tequila, rich (bi-lingual) conversation and a range of genre-bending works. Highly recommended for art lovers and also emerging artists interested in showing work.

Photography Gallery that includes photography classes, workshops and travel photography workshops throughout Latin America.
We first visited her gallery for one of the Saturday morning free workshops. Jo is a wonderful artist with quite an eye. He pics are amazing and she has many trips that she takes her students on. We spoke to several and they raced about traveling with her. A must visit in SMA.

So many art galleries, it's almost over whelming. If you are looking for art in San Miguel, this stop should definitely be on your list. A wide variety of galleries present options for almost any taste. Local and international artists are represented as well as a couple shops selling antique art. Add to all that a few shops selling clothing, lighting, furniture and garden goods along with two restaurants and a coffee shop also on site in this large former textile factory, make for an interesting afternoon for art lovers. Suggestion: If you walk from the town square you can plan your route to take you through the "Mercado de Artesanias" which includes a few interesting shops along, with the usual tourist trinkets. Further along, "Calz de la Aurora" also has a number of interesting and worthwhile galleries on both sides of the street.
