Myself and my now wife booked this hotel for our perfect wedding venue, and we were not disappointed. White Palace helped to throw us the wedding day of our dreams, and we worked closely with both Manos and Anastasia Christodoulaki before the big day. Anastasia was our wedding planner for the final months before we married in late May, and she worked tirelessly in answering all of my questions before we flew to Crete from England, and when we arrived in May. We found her to be so lovely in person also, and she went to great efforts to help us in the days leading up to the wedding, and made sure that we enjoyed the perfect day, together with Manos and the other White Palace staff. Thank you again Anastasia, we are so grateful for you! As a holiday venue, this really is 5 star quality. We had a deluxe double room with sea view and it was spotless, spacious and a perfect base for a comfortable night sleep. The hotel has its own private beach which we enjoyed spending time on most days, and also tried out some of the water sports the beach offers, including tubing and parasailing which I particularly enjoyed! The hote buffet restaurant offered a huge selection of food, all cooked beautifully. The array of restaurants including Tavernaki, Fico D’India, White Restaurant offer cuisine from round the world and again the quality of food and service is just superb. I’m truly struggling to find any faults with this hotel, they really are that good. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Atali Grand Resort 4 stars is an elegant newly renovated hotel perfectly positioned right in the heart of Crete, in the picturesque fishing village Bali, a short walk from the 600 meter long beach "Livadi". Bali is a tourist resort set by a big bay which includes four amazing beaches. It is situated in the northern part of Crete, near the high way, between Heraklion (43 kms) and Rethymno (30 kms). An ideal location which combines mountain and sea views with a crystal clear blue water beachfront. Far away from everything for privacy but at the same time close enough for activities if desired. Atali Grand Resort is destined either for travelers wishing to indulge in discreet luxury and refined elegance or for those who wish to combine their sea and sun holiday with a unique contact to Cretan culture . Our hotel is a modern and newly renovated complex of buildings. It has three outdoor swimming pools , 4 bars and 2 restaurants overlooking the Cretan Sea.
We had a brilliant stay in Atali with our 18 month old baby. It’s a perfect location for a break with a young baby - everything within walking distance of the hotel, big food selection and great pool area. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back.

Experience the unique Cretan hospitality and the feeling of “home” from the moment you step to our main lobby. The resort is situated on a beautiful sandy beach with clear blue water, which combines luxury and immaculate service to the fullest detail.
Setting: 2 adults, 3 kids 9/8/4, deluxe family bungalow garden view, all inclusive. What we liked: Staff - exceptional throughout, we felt taken care of, remembered, from the front office, restaurants, pool, beach and cleaning team. Food : Buffet was very good, kids who are normally fussy dashing in to get food at every visit. General quality, frequent replenishment, and range of choice was excellent. Really tasty. A la carte, dragon - steak and sushi, barabossa - fish. Each offered alternatives for kids if they didn’t like the theme. Very tasty meals every day. With our all inclusive package we had a voucher for 1 meal in the a la carte , the others had to be paid for, however we received a subsidy from the buffet restaurant, which makes the cost more reasonable. Beach restaurants food are good as well, but are non included in all inclusive. All inclusive- not everywhere @ every-time, and not including everything. However mostly good. Didn’t cover wife’s cosmopolitan cocktail. Didn’t cover a fresh OJ at the dinner restaurant from my daughter - cordial was included. Beach - great vibe, great sofas just to kick back and relax. Plenty of sun beds of differing ranges. There’s a crafting area, outdoor gym and water sports (paddle boarding, wave-runners etc). Indoor climbing, thanks to Tatiana for helping the kids develop and grow in confidence with each visit. We were there 4 times in a week, 8/9 yo only. Great setting pool, beach, great sunsets. WiFi very good, can stream media content Managed to hook up chromecast to stream Netflix on the room tv. Minimart had pretty much everything you’d need. What could be improved: Phone App - great in principle, but slow and buggy. Rooms, needed some freshening up, paint, carpentry, bathroom. When we arrived (@night) our room (541) wasn’t ideal, it was on the edge of the resort, we didn’t like the position and felt isolated. We complained the following morning, and were advised the hotel is full, however rooms will be available the following day, and we can review options. We reviewed options, and moved to 544, which despite close in number was in another block, slightly more central. Pools are great, with a small but, the main pool shallow area was too deep for 4yo who is 110cm. Despite having a safety bar to split the shallow and deeper pool areas, it wasn’t ideal for her. The kids pool with the slides was also good, but perhaps too shallow for the slides and also requires some work to the tiles (chipped / can be sharp) and the surrounds of the pool. All said the kids loved the pools and were constantly in them. Kids evening entertainment was limited. Kids disco was too young for 8yo and evening musical entertainment for adults was not interesting for 8/9 yo. In conclusion: We would go back to Crete, and go to Grecotel again, it was really great. We would probably try another Grecotel just to have another experience instead of going back to the same place again.

Direct access to two private beaches, seven pools, live show cooking, free Wi-Fi, Star Camp for children, spa, all inclusive... the Iberostar Creta Panorama & Mare hotel in Crete is an amazing experience where couples, children and sports lovers alike can relax and enjoy some of the best possible comforts. This is a 4-star beach hotel with a quintessential Mediterranean essence and impressive views of the Aegean Sea. Its three restaurants serve Greek, Italian and international cuisine and its eight bars make sure that you have the best dishes on offer. The 461 rooms, suites, and bungalows of the Creta Panorama & Mare hotel are fully equipped and even the smallest detail has been taken care of, including ample spaces, comfortable beds, terrace or balcony, TV with international channels, air conditioning... everything you need to guarantee rest and relaxation.
Where do I start with this hotel! I thoroughly did my research when booking a hotel and whilst there was some beautiful luxury instragrammable hotels I opted for Iberostar panorama and mare as it seemed to tick the most boxes. I can confidently say this has been the best hotel overall I’ve ever stayed at. I’ll summarise my experience with everything as this would have helped me when looking Location: A bit out of the way but the hotel is so good you literally do not need to leave. If the man made beach puts you off there’s a normal beach next door. We didn’t visit it but it looked lovely. I would recommend getting a taxi to the airport rather than a transfer as it took 3 hours by transfer and 1 hour 15mins in a taxi. There’s a bus stop to go to rethymno which we visited, we weren’t there long but it was really lovely and recommend going. We also got a taxi to Panoramas to eat at Kastro which was a lovely family run restaurant. There’s a mini market nearby. There isn’t any bars or restaurants close by. Room: The room was as advertised. The bed was super super comfortable (so much so it’s a struggle to get out!) The air conditioning is good and the room was very clean. I loved that the maids never disturbed us our whole stay and our room was cleaned everyday. Normally you get walked in on at least once on holiday but not at Iberostar. One of the only things that was a let down with the room was the bathroom. The shower was tiny and a shower curtain around it that didn’t really stop the water. Bathroom returbs would really make this hotel a 5 star. You can hear next doors toilet flush it’s quite loud and woke us up before, you can hear a lot from the hallway too. Again wouldn’t stop me from staying here, just some constructive criticism. Facilities: When we arrived we was quite confused as there was no welcome pack and we literally didn’t know where anything was. It took us a good day to find the on site shop which is easy to find when you know where it is but we were told different directions. We didn’t know where the pools were etc but nothing an explore couldn’t fix. I think there was 5/6 pools all but one were salt water which actually made a nice change to chemicals. I really would recommend a map and welcome pack. There is a shop on site that sell bus tickets, snacks, cigarettes, bus tickets, lilos etc. there’s two boutique shops and a cute jewellery shop. There’s toilets everywhere and they’re very clean. Facilities were great at this hotel. Food and drink; The food was honestly nothing short of amazing. I’m quite fussy as in I eat most foods but don’t like it when food is bland or over cooked, I didn’t have a bad meal here. Everything was fresh, good quality, plentiful, varied and gorgeous! We enjoyed zorbas lunch so much we didn’t actually eat lunch at the main restaurant. Cappuccinos were beautiful, cocktails were amazing, there was branded alcohol included with all inclusive. Sparkling wine was lovely. Honestly it was so good, the desserts were spectacular. There’s a beach hut that sells food during the day with a really cute menu included in all inclusive. It’s a shame I only found out about it two days before the holiday ended as there’s no information on the grounds but would highly recommend grabbing food from there. You can also grab really nice sandwiches from mare bar if you’re going out for the day or for your room. Even the sandwiches are good! It’s important to find an all inclusive hotel that have good food and drink because it can cost you a fortune otherwise. Luckily Iberostar excelled in this! It’s also worth mentioning this hotel has made an amazing effort to be environmentally friendly. It’s not something I do always notice but I definitely did here. There was zero waste and you can tell they have spent more money on things like cups, spoons etc to make everything fully recyclable which is important considering how much is used a day. Well done! Staff/entertainment team: I’ve saved the best til last! The staff at this hotel were actually inspiring. They had entertainment and things to do all day I loved the water volleyball and water areobics. there truly is a special team here and management should count themselves lucky to have such amazing staff. They were polite, beautiful people. A huge thank you to Simone, Tony, Matea, Both Valeria’s, Doris and everyone else. A special thank you to Ioli who really did look after us. I could go on forever at how amazing the staff are I would return solely to see them. They take time to speak to you during the day and evening and make sure you are ok and have everything you need. They go above and beyond. Both Valeria’s are doing so amazing considering they’d only been at Iberostar a month. I’m not normally one who can be entertained I’m quite a serious person who doesn’t find hotel entertainment entertaining but I actually was excited to go to the shows every night. The animation team put on the best shows and they were very funny and accommodating to all. I will definitely be returning to this hotel. If this is in your shortlist or holidays, you won’t regret booking it. It has a very positive homely safe vibe to it, I’ve never known a hotel so welcoming. Anything I have said that isn’t positive isn’t a negative just constructive criticism. Thank you so much again to the team.

Live the gypset life this summer at the Syntopia by Orion Hotel. Set minutes east of the town of Rethymnon with a golden beach just steps away. Arrived at the hotel 24th May and was welcomed by lovely staff. The App to sign in and book the restaurants is really useful and a great idea. The food is plentiful and caters for everyone. The restaurant team couldn’t do enough for you and was really helpful. The pool was cleaned daily and yes getting a cabana sunbed was the only downside as people were getting up at ridiculous hours to get one, however the other sunbeds were just as comfortable. I would suggest getting more umbrellas for those people who couldn’t have a cabana. Pool staff work really hard and always have a smile on their face. Movie night was a great touch and entertainment although quite low key was ok. The room although a little small needs more storage, but the shower was fantastic and always had hot water. The rooms are tastefully done and very modern, we had a room over the swimming pool which was nice and had some great views. I would really recommend a stay here, we had a great time and your 5 mins from the beach ? and 5 mins from some restaurants and shops.

We were in Rethymnon for a few days and booked massages and facials at the Aegeo Spas - it was an amazing experience! Charis helped us book our massages and she was so kind. Popi was my masseuse and she did a wonderful job and made the experience really relaxing. It was the perfect morning for us and we would recommend it to anyone that will be in the area!

Went in may, weather was great. Room was clean and had all facilities, staff kept it clean and stocked every day, including bottled water. We had half board and the breakfast buffet was plentiful and with a good selection of dishes including omelettes cooked to order The evening buffet had a great selection of dishes including salads and veg dishes . Everyday was different and all was well cooked , although some dishes were a little over salted. It has its own beach with loungers which are included in price. The beach is a combo of sand , gravel and stones but the sea is reasonably safe There is a large pool with lifeguard and a childs pool All in all great to relax in , no complaints, would certainly return The staff were also very attentive and helpful

Okay, the hotel is lovely, the setting is beautiful though miles from Rethmynon, Panormo beach is lovely. A view strange things in the hotel. Water with a meal on Half Board, 3 euros. Lockers in the luggage room. 2 euros EVERY time you open the locker ! Check out at 11a.m for an 11pm flight and you soon run out of the coins if you had any to start with) Then, when you've checked out, you go for lunch. Obviously, you have checked out and therefore cannot add this to your room....BUT it's cash only ! Stayed in the Iberostar group of hotels around the world many times ( the best being Sabila in Tenerife)... Staff very good though some crazy crazy rules in here. Special mention to the late night man on reception, Manos. Goes the extra mile to help.

It is with mixed feelings that I write this review. First holiday after covid for us. For context, my wife is only partially mobile, so has to get around mostly in a wheelchair. We thought we'd try the Porto hotel instead of the Beach to have a bit of an adventure in town which we had not done before, as this is a 5 star hotel, we assumed we would at least be able to get around in it. Not so. There is no wheelchair access at all, you have to take a run the baggage ramp ! If you have a bog-standard collapsible wheelchair like us, then we just scraped into the lift - it is TINY. If you are in a wheelchair yourself you cannot get yourself in as your fingers will not fit next to the wheels when you push yourself. There is no loo in reception, you have to take the lift downstairs. Food in the main buffet restaurant is so-so, my wife felt it was not warm enough. When she mentioned it to the staff we got a free meal in the a la carte restaurant which is on another planet it is SOOOOOO good !! Mattress in the bedroom was amazingly comfy, much better than our own at home which is good in itself. Location of the hotel is great as opposite the beach (just main beach road outside) and close to everything. Rethymnon is by far the better city/town than Heraklion of Chania. Not too small but not too big - just right. So, I'd say if you were an able-bodied person, this is a great hotel to stay at and I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5. But for a 5 star, in Europe, I'm amazed that it does not cater for access for wheelchair users. Yes, I know it was built long ago, but these days there's always a solution, even at least to getting in the place.

We have just got back from a 10 day holiday at this hotel and it was so much better than we expected! The food was amazing with soo much choice! The Asian restaurant was our favourite! The snack bar was also brilliant with lots of choice and available all day. You could ask for any drink and the staff would do everything they could to get you whatever you wanted. The room was very spacious and cleaned every day to a very high standard. The staff were so helpful and friendly which we really appreciated. The water park was also brilliant and is lovely to spend a few hours in! The pool areas are very clean and tidy and always have sunbeds available. We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel!
