Find out what Sushi restaurants to try in Bangkok. Thailand's fast-growing capital is a city of contrasts. Feast on amazing Thai food in shabby markets for lunch and sip on cocktails in a glitzy rooftop bar several hours later. Marvel at the buzzing alleys and temples of Chinatown and Banglamphu, then take a tuk tuk to Siam, where luxurious shopping malls await. It's these contradictions that make this vibrant city a magnet for tourists from all over the world, each of them promising themselves to come back again and again.

Great place for Maki and fusion Japanese food !!
This restaurant is not easy to find: on the top of a small building soi 49. However, the atmosphere is very cosy (little bit dark with slow lights) and the food for maki / sahimi / sushi lovers is really delicious. This is a bit pricey, but the setting of the restaurant and the food are worth it. And hey, you are in Thonglor area, where everything is expensive. Nice restaurant for a romantic dinner.

First and unlikely my last time here. Stumbled in as an impulse choice and was pleasantly surprised. Attentive staff, fresh well-prepared food, great ambience - serves for a very pleasant dining experience. It would not be the least expensive option for Japanese but I doubt you would be quibbling about it.Dear JeromePatrickBateman,We are delighted to read your nice review and we are glad to read that you really appreciated our food quality, our atmosphere and mostly our attentive and professional service.Thank you also for your recommendation. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.Be well,Sven N,Director Food and beverageThe Westin Grande Sukhumvit, [email protected]

This is not a traditional Japanese Restaurant. It's modernly decorated with nice city view. Had dinner there last week. Their food is Japanese Fusion and nicely presented. However, don't expect the freshness of the seafood could be comparable to those in Japan. After all, this is Bangkok. Their staff service is also attentive and good. A good restaurant for good food and a nice restaurant for celebration.Dear CChanHK, Greetings from Akira Back at Marriott Marquis Queen's Park ! I had an excellent dinner experience at Zuma in Bangkok. Loved the outdoor, tropical situation. The service was excellent, but I think that's almost the norm at all good restaurants in Bangkok. We ordered two carpaccios. Yellowtail and SeaBass to start with, and both were excellent. The cold spinach with sesame was average, but the Sushi that followed made up for it. It worked on multiple levels. as did the prawn and black cod gyoza. The lamb cutlet was so good that I may have shed a tear.

We had our honeymoon dinner while staying at Anantara Siam hotel. Although we did a last minute reservation, we were warmly welcomed. We ordered the seafood sensation course with couple other dishes. Sashimi were very fresh and succulent, nigiri had the perfect balance between the topping and rice. All other dishes had perfect balance of flavour. We could tell the chef had put in alot of consideration to put it together. Recommended sake was exceptional. Complimented the dishes very well. Many thanks to the team, Orn, New, Fern, Boy and Shintaro for making the dinner special. We would love to return if we visit Bangkok again! Dear minchOKThank you for writing about your experience with Shintaro here.I appreciate all of your positive comments that you have mentioned. We are truly delighted to hear that you greatly enjoyed with our services and food quality. Once again, thank you for choosing Shintaro as your dining venue. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future! With kind regards,Shintaro Restaurant

Praya Kitchen is a vibrant restaurant that serves a generous selection of authentic Thai dishes and international favorites, with interactive kitchens and full table service.
We had a reservation at Praya Kitchen. We arrived a bit early and then waited for 10 minutes while the hostess, Sain, was on the phone and waving her hand in our faces. We tried to get the attention of another member of staff who only redirected us to Sain - still on the phone - who refused to acknowledge us or serve us. We were there for a birthday and honestly our night was ruined. Horrible service.

We came yesterday evening to the Raintree cafe for their seafood buffet. The atmosphere is elegant with comfy chairs and nice background music. We had a reservation and got a nice table by the window. Welcoming was very friendly and the floor manager Mr. Sarunyoo was always around and took really good care of us. Even the restaurant was full, he was always around to refill our glasses and having a chat with us. Thanks a lot for that professional and overwhelmingly friendly service. Foowise we have to say that we were stunned from the quality and the presentation of all the dishes. The seafood section had so much to offer. From fresh oysters, sushi and sashimi to perfect cooked lobsters. We could not even try everything. Same with the meat section. Beef carpachio, freshly cut Serrano ham and perfect steaks and lamb chops just to name a few. Not to forget the dessert section with lots of yummy cakes, tarts and homemade ice cream. Together with the drinks package it was really worth to visit the Raintree cafe. We are usually not the big all you can eat fans, but this buffet experience was different and we don't think you can find it better anywhere else in Bangkok. We are now fans of the Seafood night at the Raintree cafe and will recommend it to our friends and family. We will definitely come back. Dear Khun AlexisC1558Thank you very much for your kind review of The Rain Tree Cafe Restaurant and for your wonderful comments about our evening. We look forward to the wonderful opportunity to welcome you back to the Raintree again in the near future. Best Regards, Ms. Chanunchida Hostess The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel Bangkok

We had great fun with Chef Nattapong. Very funny and entertaining.I found the menu was not easy to understand, we order to much as we didn't catch that soup, salad, shrimps in a butter lemon sauce and fried rice would come first before the fish and meat we have ordered. Meat was a big big steak...too much.Dear Valued Guest,Many thanks for writing your feedback and recommend us through TripAdvisor, we are glad that you enjoyed the visit to Benihana at AVANI Atrium. I guess going to a Japanese restaurant on your first night in Bangkok might not sound the right thing to do, but forget that, this was one of the most memorable nights ever. I chose this because I thought it would be a different experience for my wife, having been to a couple of them myself before, but I am so pleased I did.It was pure theatre from start to finish, the food was awesome, which once we had stopped laughing, we managed to enjoy to the hilt.So for food quality, its certainly up there, and for entertainment, its there. Mix the two together, and you have yourself a wonderful night out.Thank you to all the team.Dear OCContour,Thank you very much for your feedback. We are happy that you had a nice time enjoying our food and entertainment at Benihana. We hope you will visit us again in the near future. Best regards, Benihana Team
