We came down for work and was passing by and saw this place. The outside is so unassuming but what awaits you inside will floor you. We started with the stuffed mushrooms and were amazed. They were delicious. I had the fried oysters and shrimp and they were cooked to perfection. I loved the cole slaw and home cut fries. She had the mahi mahi and it was equally amazing. I will find excuses to make my way back over here.
My wife always refuses to go there (we tried it 20+ years ago), but I was batching and thought I'd check it out. They shorted me a shrimp on my 8 piece meal which runs $7 and no drink (all fast-foodies have a drink with their combo meal). The cole slaw container was ridiculous holds 1/4 cup - that's 4 bites for me. The green beans were the usual canned. "Dining on a Budget" is "excellent" but get out the snacks back home. Otherwise the food tasted good. The first impression is it's not well kept up, the bushes obscure the lower part of the menu board and the shrubs next to the drive-through need trimming. I wouldn't to there after dark. I had thought to drive back and see the inside but didn't bother. I thought afterward that I didn't receive a receipt (paid cash) so the window guy could dip into the till, but that's their problem. The window guy was taking the next order as he handed out my meal and would not have acknowledged my purchase if I had drove off. (I said "You're welcome" and he responded) They don't have a telephone listing (but find it on the web page) so I still haven't called to let the manager know about my wife's opinion. (ha ha)

Had a very good combo dinner here. Contrary to many restaurants in the US where they overcook fish, the salmon here was just right. Also the shrimp and lobster tale were nicely cooked. Staff is friendly, maybe just a bit overeager. I get that people in the US want to eat fast but asking to take your salad away when you just started and pushing the check when still eating dinner is a bit much. Some people actually want to enjoy their food.
This place is easy to miss, a blink on an industrial stretch of highway. The outside is not terribly inviting; the area is run down and deserted. Inside, the mood is better and friendly, although the ambience is very basic. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is okay if not overly breaded. Each order is cooked to order, but the quality of the food is just okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to find this place, but if you're in the area, it's a fine stop for a casual lunch.

We went as a family of 6 and were seated quickly. We shared an order of hush puppies and each got our own meal. I had the stuffed shrimp which was okay it seemed to be lacking stuffing, my husband ordered the chicken poor boy which was a little weird it didn't have any sauce and was just bland. My mom ordered the coconut shrimp which were amazing! There was also a fish order, chicken fried chicken, and frog legs. Everything was decent just a little over priced.

Was in the area to fix a car and decided to head down towards the beach and I found this place. You grab your tray and silverware and order from at least four seafood dishes, including gumbo, and some Mexican and then find a seat. Good choice of fish for the day, along with a decent price. If I'm in the area, I'll drop in again!

I enjoyed our stop here and the place was packed so itâs obviously a locals favorite. The food was good and my waiter was prompt and attentive. The stuffed shrimp s unfortunately way overlooked and should not have been served but the rest of the plate made up for this.

We live in Lake Jackson. There are lots of restaurants, but this one is reasonably priced and has a wide variety of seafood dishes plus hamburgers and steaks. Fried shrimp are popular here and theirs are as good as any in this community. (Shrimp boats ply
Wow, what a menu.Ordered grilled redfish and 6 large gulf shrimp. Came with seasoned vegetables (my choice), and coleslaw (salad was option).Perfectly cooked and seasoned.Tartar sauce was fabulously tasty.Service was as good as a major 5 Star restaurant. Super is all I can say.The building is an old pizza hut, do not let that fool you. Fantastic choice, great prices, huge selection, outstanding tasty food with great service.
