Reviews on Pub food in Brownsville, Texas, United States. At the mouth of the Rio Grande delta and the southernmost tip of Texas, Brownsville enjoys the perfect combination of casual southwestern charm and bicultural diversity. Its position just across the international pedestrian bridge from Matamoros makes it a good base for day trips to Mexico, or for just enjoying the Tex-Mex culture of south Texas. Warm Gulf breezes, blooming bougainvilleas, gently waving palms, soft white sands and friendly, diverse locals make this city a semi-tropical paradise.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant when we heard it was renovated. We were surprised to see a wide variety of food and drinks. From sodas to wine and from Mexican food to Italian, BBQ and seafood. We ordered calamari for appetizer. Quite surprised to see calamari were on top of a flatbread with cheese. It tasted good and the cook was not afraid of trying new things? I ordered a fish po boy. It was tasty and the portion very generous. My husband got a cuban sandwich which he rated as average. He had a michelada which was bland and he does not recommend. Love the decoration, live music and the service was excellent until the place got crowded and the waitress disappeared. Pretty good place to eat and hung out. Service needs improvement but it is not the worst. We will visit again

We are an elderly couple but live close so have been there about 4 times recently. Lots of TV sets and tables near busy bar so somewhat noisy for conversation but have had good service and good food each visit. Outdoor seating in good weather might be best for conversational dinning.

Juan the bartender is awesome. HoweverUnless you personally know the waitresses good luck getting a drink. If you like big crowds and loud music go to shennanigans. Otherwise do like the wife and I, get there early enjoy the good food and leave by 9pm.
Yet another average Wing place. The decor is rustic and simple and the food average. Tuesday's and Thursday's are wing nights with 50 cent wings ..Not bad but not a reason to go to the strip mall ...

This is a clean well run restaurant, the food is delicious, great choices, great service. Our group was quite large 27 women and all our needs were taken care of very efficiently. Our group will be back and many said they would be back on their own.
