Our hand-tossed pies are baked in a 900° wood oven. Our chefs then top them with organic ingredients, local produce and imported cheeses. Local favorites are the Truffle Pie with tartufo, potato, pancetta, rosemary and egg; the Standard with pomodoraccio
We love going here during our annual trip. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Long waits are typical. You wont be disappointed!

Nice environment. Reasonably priced. Good service. Family owned. Never had a bad meal. Salads are very very fresh. I heartily recommend for a nice italian meal that is priced for average people.

My wife and I eat lunch at lease twice a month at the restaurant. Prior to that, with our children we ate at the original location at Walnut and Shilo. We return because of the food, service, and atmosphere.

Palio's changed under new management. We were very sad to see that the previous owner had sold to someone else. My husband and I have been a couple times and it's just gotten worse as the new mgmt. has taken over. Today we had our usual hot ham & cheese and italian sub. my sub was good, my husband got the italian and it had like 3 slices of ham and 3 little ole peperoni's. it was pitiful, exspecially for the price. we also shared a side salad and the lettuce was old and brownish-REALLY... we decided not to return, there was no one in the restauarant but us and this was lunchtime. we have noticed the decline in their business and don't expect them to be open much longer!!!!

Note: table service ladies very good and professional!!Have eaten here multiple times with friends and family. With good Italian meals, not this time. Hadnât tried their pizza B4, will never again. Asked for NY style sausage, pepperoni and mushroom. Was not NY style (first thing),sausage on the pizza had no flavor and the crust was not thin floppy like Real NY style pizza. Brought this disappointment to the ownerâs attention and he was very rude. Stating âHIS pizza was the best and has stacks of tickets to prove itâ. Then he states âIâm from Brooklyn and I know what NY style pizza isâ. Well, (my opinion) itâs not NY City or Hicksville NY style pizza. There was also another customer behind me confirming the owners rudeness. She stated to the owner âWhat happened too Customer Service?âFinally if you want a good NY style pizza go to Zucoâs in Rowlett on Rowlett rd.!

The food is quite good. They have great gluten free pizza also. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. Deno, the owner, is a great guy with a great memory for people and names. He's always gracious and friend. I wish I could say the same of some of the staff.

I always order The Works, extra thin. We had cardboard pizza from a local Italian restaurant the day before. When I suggested pizza from one of the best places in Rowlett, nobody complained and they never heard of Zukos! Also ordered The Lent special...1/2 cheese and 1/2 veggies. My version.

I love Italian food and this Texas joint is among the best. The Napoli Special is my sister's favorite but I had the chicken parm and had to leave my left-overs at my sisters house; sad day for me.
