Padre Islands oldest full service restaurant and a gathering place for the locals. Opened in 1987 and back open after hurricane Harvey destruction and serving a variety of Italian dishes for all your taste buds to enjoy . Open for lunch and dinner.
Second time to try this place. Really hoping to like it because itâs very close to my home. The live band is a mistake, to loud couldnât even have a conversation. Also the lights are way to bright. Would be such a nice environment if they would dim the lights add candles to tables and just play some nice soft Italian music in the background. Even though the food is so so I would go back if it werenât so loud and bright! The pizza was ok. We sent the first one back way over cooked. Itâs a cute place, a few changes would make a world of difference.Always trying to improve for sure. Light's should be dimmed down nightly not sure why they weren't. Any day with out music we have italian music playing on our sound system. Sun - wed no live bands.

Pizza was fantastic. We got thin crust cheese, thin crust supreme, and a thin crust margarita. One of my new favorite pizza places.A little disappointed with the staff as they were rude. The seemed very "ruffled" by the number in our party. We ended up getting our pizza to go and ate at the hotel.Wish we could have enjoyed the ambience of the restuarant.

Being from the area, I still can not remember what this building use to be many years ago, a clothing store or grocery store, or just what. Have only been here a couple of times since they opened a few years ago. Anyway, no worries about dress code, go as you are, here, even with the white table cloths. Hardly any decor, some carpet and old worn out terrazzo floor needs a good shining. The shrimp crostini was a nice appetizer- four pieces. Reasonable priced wine in a small glass, 7.00. (Martin Ulisse Montepulcino). Pay separate for a salad as with most Italian restaurants. Field green salads with house dressing which was a tangy red wine vinegar and oil. I did have to ask for bread. A few slices on a bread plate accompanied with the dreaded butter. No olive oil. Turn off. Entree came before we finished our salads, and that is another turn off for me. But entrees are reasonably priced as compared to a couple other local Italian restaurants. Stuffed eggplant-Generous portion, two slices of eggplant with ricotta, spinach and a couple of sliced mushrooms with a scant of sauce on top. Pretty good flavor. Chicken piccata that my husband had was pretty good as well. More chicken pieces than pasta. A big slice of cassata cake had an interesting flavor, as they used mascarpone cheese and drizzled chocolate, pecans and a hint of cinnamon on top.

Found this place after Googling Italian restaurant in Corpus Christ offering gluten free pizzas (optional!), so thought we'd give it a whirl.Turned up precisely in the hour when they close down their pizza ovens to clean/refresh the charcoal, but the staff couldn't have been more helpful and offered us other gluten free alternatives locally - noting we had young kids and had wanted to eat early.Despite that, we elected to go to the local shops and kill time, and we came back 45 mins later and had one of our best meals of the holiday. The staff took my kids (5 & 3) into the kitchens and let them through flour in the pizza fire, which they loved! The pizzas were some of the best we've ever had. So good, we went back on night three of our stay too.Would definitely look to see if other cities we holiday in in the future have a Grimaldi's, as they really are an awesome dinner venue. Thanks!

Ordered pizzas and breadsticks for takeout- order was ready promptly and the counter service was friendly and efficient. Pizza had a nice crust, generous amounts of cheese and toppings. Breadsticks were awesome. Price was reasonable, considering the amount of food we received. Definitely stopping here again.

Italian Cuisine served in a warm Trattoria-style restaurant and Bottega, serving homemade Roman Pinsas, the ancestor to Pizza, homemade pastas, sauces and desserts. In our Bottega you can shop and take home our Gourmet2Go dinners, sauces and homemade past
We were met at the door and seated right away. We ordered two separate dishes so that we could share, we were not disappointed! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was chill. We really enjoyed our dinner here. Would highly recommend! Grazie, Grazie, Grazie! So happy you enjoyed your experience with us, and for sharing it with others! We truly appreciate your kind words!

Thick crust that wasn't cooked thoroughly. I had 2 pieces of a 12" pizza and threw the rest away. Gummy dough and NO SAUCE! I took the cheese off what I threw away and 2 pieces had sauce...it was just cheese on glumpy bread overall. I'll never do this place again!
