Our famous San Antonio sports bar, High Velocity, puts you right in the action with a 120-foot long media display and monitors galore. Choose from a deep roster of craft beers and other beverages, plus an outstanding lineup of great food.
This restaurant has at least 15 large TV's for watching sports. The food is typical sports bar food, but I had a very nice salad. They also have a good spinach & artichoke dip. Other people enjoyed the burgers. They also have a good selection of beers.Hello Steve - Thank you for joining us and providing feedback about your experience. We are very appreciative of all our guests and I'm very happy to hear you enjoyed your salad and spinach and artichoke dip. We do pride ourselves on supporting local breweries when possible as well as having massive tv screens and a video wall for viewing all sports.Thank you again for your patronage and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Not the best first impression but after arriving the experience is outstanding. The service was average, the food spinach salad a burger and fries were excellent my guest had steak and lobster bisque. Both are worth a return visit.Plus the bill was reasonable. This was a restaurant that I would recommend.

Feast is a contemporary restaurant that serves a seasonal selection of sharing plates. Located in a historical building in the beautiful King William district, Feast is a local favorite for its innovative dishes enjoyed on the spacious patio or inside the
Iâve eaten two times at Feast. I have to say, I have not been impressed either time. First, the menu listed on their site or various apps was not accurate to the menu last night. Second, the food was charred, over-salted, over-peppered. We started with the sourdough, mine was charred beyond recognition. Then we had the meatballs with stroganoff sauce. We The meatballs were tasty but lacking seasoning in the meat. The sauce was completely over-salted. I understand using various ingredients to break up a rich dish but pickles and dill were off-putting. I would think peppers would fit better. All I could taste on the salad was pepper. The lamb chops tied for the best item of the night with the peanut butter pie. The potatoes served with the lamb chops were coated in salt and pepper. The peanut butter pie was very tasty but needed chocolate not cocoa to break it up. Third, the service was awful, slow, inaccurate, and ill-informed. The waiter was continually asked to bring out extra plates and silverware as we progressed through the meal. I had two glasses of water and was given the wrong wine for tasting. When i received the correct wine he never returned to check or ask if I wanted a glass. A friend at the table asked him which rosé was drier and he didnât know. She also asked about the Chardonnay (buttery) and Sauvignon Blanc (citrusy)selections and he didnât know those answers either. He did recommend some items on the menu when asked but only to list ingredients and say if the dish was tasty or not. When dessert arrives for the table you expect side plates and silverware to either come out ahead or with the dish neither happened we had to wait about five minutes and we finally got the attention on the hostess and she brought us plates and silverware to eat our dessert. Fourth, the music is so loud you have to strain to understand your table mates, the waiter or anyone else not sitting next to you and talking into your ear. Overall not a fun dining experience.

We went on recommendation from our hotel. We really enjoyed our 2 visits there, good service and a lively friendly crowd. The bar contains a converted bank vault now used as a liquor store. Well made classic Martinis with a number of speciality drinks, which my wife enjoyed, a bit on the sweet side for me. Two blocks from the river walk.

Located just a few minutes from downtown in architecturally rich Monte Vista, La Fonda on Main is the oldest Mexican food restaurant in San Antonio. La Fonda serves both the best of Tex-Mex cuisine as well as authentic dishes of interior Mexico in a fun a
Visited here with my partner as we wanted a to try tex mex and were recommended La Fonda. Honestly we were both very underwhelmed, it was pretty average food with mediocre service. We had booked a table so were shown straight there and given menus, the wait staff were quite busy but we had to wait quite a while for water and to order some drinks. The server was nice and did give some recommendations of what to have, I had ceviche for starter. It was nice but quite bland really, Iâve had way nicer from other restaurants in SA. For main I had the La Fonda special, I wanted to try a mix of flavours and items. Again it was just a bit average, tasty to a point but nothing really special about it. No spiciness or specific flavours that stood out for me. It wasnât bad but just meh. My partner was also left without a fork for 10 mins when his main was delivered, so we had to wait for that before we could start, then the server also forgot his second beer. Not altogether the experience I was expecting! I know itâs not fine dining, itâs family style eating in a casual restaurant. The atmosphere was really nice, but for me it was the flavours and service that disappointed, they just werenât up to much.
