When you've had enough seafood in Galveston and are ready for some BEEF, this is the place to go. Their walls are crammed with trophies and awards, and once you taste their food, you'll understand why. Excellent brisket, delicious sides. The dining room isn't fancy, but you won't care. You'll leave satisfied with the good BBQ and good prices. EAT HERE SOON!

4. Wrice Barbecue

Woodrow has been busy at Wrice's making the place much nicer and the bar-b-que is outstanding. On my first visit, food was being served from a mobile kitchen and there were outdoor tables. Now, there is a large smoke house behind the building and the kitchen is indoors adjacent to a nice inside eating area. The building decades ago was a service station and what was once the service bays are now the dining area. The original brick walls are still there and it has been decorated with historic pictures of the local area. It is a very pleasant and unpretentious setting that goes well with the bar-b-que. Well, on to the important stuff, if possible the food has gotten better. I had a rib platter and I've eaten lots of ribs in the past but these were some of the best. They were moist, tender, and had just the right amout of a glazed finish to be mouth watering. The sauce is served separately which means that the ribs are not smothered in sauce. You can taste the meat and if you want a bit more bar-b-que flavor you can add some sauce. Along with the ribs, there were baked beans and potato salad, and pickles. The side dishes were delicious but the ribs had my full attention. They were so good that I found myself gnawing on the bones. Woodrow is a great cook, a good host, and puts out a product that is first rate. My eating companion had a chopped beef platter and said it was also delicious. If you have any appetite after eating there are delicious home made desserts available.The amazing part of this is that the menu prices are very affordable and certainly worth the price. Wrice's is a short walk from my condo and when the wind blows just right you can smell that delicious aroma that says come on down and enjoy some Wrice's Bar-b-Que. If you haven't tried it give yourself a treat and pay it a visit.

Love Dickinson BBQ, great atmosphere, great people Keith and Holly are normally there they own this amazing establishment and they make 100% sure that every person has an amazing experience! Both have great backgrounds in food and they do a stunning job on any and all catering events we have used them on several occasions!

This place has been here a good while. I graduated from this town in 1993 and that was likely the last time I visited. Not much has changed. Looks exactly the same as far as it did back then. Their menu is bigger-boudin, giant salads, fajitas. Our order: 3/4 pound of brisket, a chopped beef sandwich and fries, plain baked potato. Total price was around $21. Potato was the best part. Son didn't eat the whole sandwich. He said it had too much sauce. There sauce tastes meat based. The option of lean or most brisket is not given. The menu reads just brisket. I am used to a choice-the brisket was very lean which meant it didn't have much of a fat layer and wasn't very flavorful. The people were very nice though.

Very casual restaurant. The items we chose were very tasty. I had the crab cakes and they were done to the T. Crispy outside, soft, moist and deliciously spiced inside. Our waitress was very attentive and the price was fair.
