all is well made and you get a salad and soup with the lunch special. i have always found the food here fresh, plentiful and well priced. They are just not doing anything exciting from a creativity perspective, so I don't drive out of my way to go here.

We like to order Chinese food in my household. Lucky for us, we have a few places within easy driving distance and we order takeout from one of these eateries at least once per week. Sometimes, we do venture a little outside our usual 3 mile radius and one Chinese restaurant we have tried and liked is Fusion Wok. With Fusion Wok, guests are treated to Chinese and Japanese cuisine, including sushi, which is one of the reasons we visited here in the first place. Walking into Fusion Wok, I can remember being a little surprised at its size. Itâs in a small strip mall and from the outside, it looks like itâs going to be a simple restaurant with maybe two or three tables for seating and a largely carryout- focused business. Carryout is certainly big here, but the inside is larger than expected, with multiple tables and chairs and even a bar area for seating. We like to order multiple foods when we order Chinese and then have each family member select and eat what they like. Our order almost always includes General Tsoâs chicken and Orange chicken, along with appetizers like egg rolls, crab ragoons, and sometimes wonton soup. We usually add a beef or pork selection to round out the meats. This is exactly what we have done when ordering at Fusion Wok and we have found the chicken dishes very good. The same could be said for the sushi- the rest of the family loves sushi and they love what is served here. Where Fusion Wok loses a few points is with the beef dishes. The problem is that the beef is a little too oily/greasy and it has an unusual grey color. I can remember the last time I got carryout from here, one of the food items we ordered was Pepper Steak and when we were about to eat the food at home, one of the kids wasnât sure what type of meat it was. Due to its lighter off- color, she thought it could be chicken. Fusion Wok helps customers choose what to eat by labeling food items that contain above average spiciness and that are vegetarian. This is useful because it helps customers decide what to order without having to constantly ask the servers for verification. Oh, and they do serve beer and wine here, too, which is a great match for certain foods. Chinese food will probably always be one of our go- to foods and we will continue to order from some of our favorite local restaurants. Fusion Wok is a little out of the way for Chinese takeout, but the quality of the sushi and other foods make it worthy of continued visits. I wasnât impressed with the beef items on the menu, but the other foods are above average and with all factors considered, Fusion Wok easily makes the cut and earns a recommendation.

We've ordered take out from Akashi Sushi in Katy since they've opened, always a good experience, until last Friday. The Valentine Roll was inedible. The rolls were mush, swimming in a bath of liquid. I've never seen a sushi roll presented in this manner, anywhere in the U.S. or in Japan. The remainder of our $70 order was good, but no excuse for this roll. Would appreciate a response from the manager at Akashi.
I don't like sushi, so I was looking for a steak. The only way to get a steak in the "steakhouse" is the hibachi. Does not compare favorably to Beni Hana. The soup was a weak version of French onion. The salad had a tasteless version of 1000 islands. I had the chicken and steak with fried rice. The beef & Chicken were okay not too much flavor. Same the fried very little flavor. Veggies were okay. Overall a very disappointing meal and it was pricy. Two of us no wine and the bill was $75. Not good value for the price.

This place is very similar to other Japanese/Hibachi restaurants. If your party is small, you are seated with other groups of diners. We actually enjoy that aspect, and we were lucky to be seated with a nice group of other people. There are tables where couples could sit and order items off the menu that will be cooked back in the kitchen. For us, the whole point of going to a restaurant like this is to see our food cooked in front of us. Our chef was a friendly, kind and entertaining man! He made us feel welcomed and he went out of his way to amuse our young son. As a treat, I guess, he began to cook a couple of shrimp than we did not order. I quickly informed him that both my husband and myself have seafood allergies. I felt bad that that may have sounded ungrateful, but it is true. So we continue watching our meal being prepared and thoroughly enjoyed the show and our sonâs delight. The rice was bland and the beef did not seem to be of very good quality...quite tough and chewy. Very disappointing considering we really liked our chef and enjoyed the show. As we finished up our meal, I noticed my husband had several huge red hives all over his head, face and neck. We guess his food came into contact with the area of the grill where the shrimp had been cooked. I was thankfully spared, and able to drive us home as my poor husbandâs eyes swelled nearly shut. He was fine once he got a couple of Benadryl in him and the hives went away by the next morning, but thatâs always a bummer and a bit frightening when it happens. We are just grateful that his reaction was not worse. I would likely go back if it was someone elseâs choice, as it wasnât close to being the worst meal Iâve ever had...it just wasnât close enough to being one of the best, for it to be my choice. Most importantly, I would make a point to inform the chef up front of the seafood allergy so that none of the other food comes into contact with shellfish. What the chef tried to do for us was very nice...it just kinda backfired. Thankfully everything worked out.
