It is located at the southern tip of the state in the Rio Grande Valley. The city limits extend south to the Rio Grande, across from the Mexican city of Reynosa, and McAllen is approximately 70 miles (110 km) west of the Gulf of Mexico. Buddy Vâs isnât just Italian, it is also attempting to blend that culture with the predominant Hispanic culture of Southern Texas, and in our opinion it has succeeded. We tried several things in a mixed appetizer plate - the traditional fried calamari, salad cáprese, a smoked mozzarella, Italian nachos, and our favorite, the barbecued wings. Under the guidance of Richard, the manager, we ordered as a main course the grilled rock fish which came with a mushroom risotto. Because they are trying new directions, we sampled both the pesto Alfredo and a chipotle Alfredo. The last totally did us in. What a special evening it was.Were I to suggest a fine meal that would be the wings, the salad caprese, the rockfish and the chipotle Alfredo. A final note - the bread is outstanding. A crunchy crust, soft interior, and a hint of thyme.

This particular Olive Garden is Exceptional. The management obviously runs a great business and knows what they are doing. They are the best Olive Garden Hands Down. The service is absolutely fantastic and the food is consistently delicious. Bring an extra stomach with you because the portions are HUGE. You will be taking home the extra food and enjoying it again! Great job to the entire team for running such a great Restaurant!!

Although not a large place the restuarant has a nice ambiance and mannerly waiters.We had Fettuccine alla Bolognese and a large Giardino Salado. Excellent taste. Fettucine could have been a bit warmer and parmesan was not offered until we flagged the waiter down. Bread and the hot oil were really tasty.The price of the brand name coctails(Makers Mark-Tito's Vodka) was exceptional and the drinks were really good.Overall would go back again,due to taste and price. Very good.

The food at Mama's Pizzeria is always consistently great! Our family has tried so many items on their menu and can't complain because it's all delicious. The appetizers, pasta, pizza, sandwiches, and desserts are great. This is a great place to visit for a casual dining experience.

Convenient to the conference center and hotels. The staff was extremely nice, pleasant waiter and good food. I think the location and staff make this a great place. Clean restrooms and overall restaurant appearances were good. Funny thing about the restrooms. On the inside of the Men's, there is a sign that says Women's.

I went there yesterday with my mom and it was fairly cheap (40 bucks for both of us). You really donât have anything new. Itâs not really Italian. Itâs more a âyouâll get good and plenty of food for what youâre payingâ. I remember it being nicer before it went franchised. Not for a fine special occasion but for a friendâs birthday where youâll pay each one their own bill.

We are winter Texanâs and have been coming here for 25 years. We were in Fri evening with old friends. Service was prompt and food was excellent. Owner came by and wanted to make sure we were happy with everything. Looking forward to next season in the Valley
