We had dinner two nights in a row while staying at the Days Inn next door. The food was good and I cannot say enough about the attentiveness of waitresses. Come to find out, their father owns the place and most of the family works in the business. How refreshing to see young people take pride in what they do.

There was a good selection on the menu. Food was nice and our server was very good. Place was very busy when we went and we had to wait a few minutes for a table, car park had plenty of room.

I decided to stop here during a quick visit to Uvalde and was very glad I did. They have a lot of variety in their menu, from Mexican good, to soups and salads and entrees like chicken fried steak. We were seated and our waitperson came over immediately. I had the chicken avocado salad and it was wonderful! Very generous serving and a very creative and delicious salad. The prices were very reasonable.I will definitely be back!Hi Pam, Thank you for visiting us! It's great to hear that the variety on our menu is terrific and that our staff was friendly and quick for you. We love hearing that our chicken avocado salad was delicious and creative.

Everyone in my extended family makes the Local Fix a fixture of our trips to Uvalde for its casual, comfortable ambiance, super-fast free Wi-Fi, exceptional coffee, and affordable, tasty light meals. The $1.50 breakfast taco is a great value. Itâs also good for a cold beer or glass of wine in the afternoon when checking email, social media, or the online news.The staff is reliably friendly, but on occasion seemed overworked or under-trained. On one visit, they had trouble juggling barista duties and table service to the extent that we never did get any milk for the coffee (before the party finished breakfast). With a little more management attention, the Local Fix could go from good to great.

We thought the food was quite tasty, and with an additional side, the portions were generous enough for the two of us to split. Brisket had a nice 'bark' on it. Prices were excellent. Watching the serving staff, it looked like a couple of them were just going through the motions, so I can perhaps see some of the service complaints. But we got Shelby and she was golden!

Unique place to have lunch or dinner. Located among the hangers at the Garner Feild Airport, they serve good comfort food. One of the better options to eat while in Uvalde. Take some time to read the history of the airport and local area inside the menu, very interesting. I had very good service.It looks like if you fly your own plane in you can eat a free hamburger if you buy $100 in fuel!
