Close to our hotel we decided to have dinner at this place, but it was not a good idea. We ordered first margaritas, they don't have any good taste, it look like lemonade, but we have a good service. The food was really greasy and no good but expensive, the atmosphere was OK. I think the people who run the place don't care about the quality of the food, the location close to the beach is very good and is enough for make money. For sure we never come back, the next time I take my car for find a good restaurant. I don't recommend this place.

We stopped in for an early dinner and were greeted with smiles from the entire staff. We took a seat by the window with a great view of the beach and in short order our food was brought piping hot to the table. Brisket sandwiches, sausage, ribs, and sliced brisket. Every entree was hot and delicious. The fries are actually hand made fresh each day as are the slaw and sauces. Once they cooled enough to eat the fries were SPECTACULAR. My fried okra was piping hot and stayed hot till the last piece in its little styrofoam tub. As we were finishing the manager came by to check in and make sure everything was satisfactory. Best meal we had in a week on the island and sure to be a permanent go-to for at least one great meal every time we come to vacation in Galveston.

The Original is the longest continually operating restaurant on Galveston Island still at its Original location. We are located on the corner of 14th and Market in Galveston's beautiful Historic District. We have private parking next to the restaurant and
In business since 1916 and a true Galveston tradition. HIGHLY recommend the Fajitas Jalisco. Normal fajita meat and veggies, but slathered in melted Monterrey Jack cheese. WOW!

I cannot remember our servers name for the life of me, but she was awesome. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We don't get very good Mexican food where were from and this was spot on delicious. We are here on a vacation, first time to Galveston. My spouse and I are always on the hunt for amazing salsa and well... Salsa's lived up to their name! So sad we live 12 hours away, but we will be back to Galveston and to Salsa's! Gracias for a great lunch! When we've got "salsa" in our name, you can be sure we've worked hard to perfect ours, Brittany! I'm so happy to see you and your spouse are both fans of ours and our friendly service, too! Thank you for this wonderful review. Hoping you had a wonderful first visit to Galveston -- we'd love to see you back anytime!Best,Frank, Owner

Galveston has a great little Tex-Mex restaurant called Taquiloâs! Staff was friendly, and fast. We had lunch here, and were served immediately. Great house margaritaâs, and clever menu items that were very well executed! Be sure to try them out!Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It's fantastic to hear from our customers. We never want to settle for very good, so if there is anything we can do to earn that final star, please let us know. Thanks again for your feedback. See you soon!

Stopped by here after hearing about this place from some locals. The place stays busy, the parking lot stays packed, and you can see folks coming in and out on a constant basis. The breakfast burritos that we got were good, larger than I expected, and freshly made. The only downside was the price. I paid over $17 for 4 burritos. Granted they were bigger than the ones I usually buy but I also only pay 99 cents for the ones I buy in San Antonio. Not a bad place to at least try out, I would be willing to go again but next time they a different meal.
