Had a road trip, decided to stop by and give them a try. TONS of people there, so I knew it was going to be good breakfast. And they served it up. You WILL not be hungry for lunch after there tacos!
Old Mexican restaurant, but great breakfast tacos. Friendly people and fast service. Right on Hwy 90 as you enter the West side of Luling Tx.
L&S served our group of five a thoroughly delicious breakfast (each person ordered something different-- from Huevos Rancheros to Migas to Menudo, etc.) No one was disappointed. The flavors were memorable, the service was good, and the prices were reasonable.
Encouraged by their good reviews, we tried Azucena's, but will not be visiting again. Their beans and rice were average at best. The enchiladas were cold. The puffy taco and chalupas were very hot and also tasted average at best. The table was not cleaned properly and no tables had any napkins. Their service took far longer than it should. So therefore, their food was about average or less and their service was not good.

Parking ample and free, Menu pretty standard and straightforward, Service quick and friendly. Food was gratifying and filling. Slasa was good and chips were fresh. Nothing special but more than satisfactory if seeking enchiladas in Luling instead of Bar B Q.

We were in Luling with family a couple of weeks ago, and the Mexican-food bug bit. Our relatives suggested Mr. Taco. We were very impressed with the quality of the food and the service. Our cousin ordered a very interesting soup, the Chicken Caldo. She often gets that soup, and she always has plenty to take home for several more meals. My husband and I enjoyed the delicious and very generous taco salad. Our aunt enjoyed two tostadas. The chips and salsa were yummy as well. Mr. Taco doesn't offer a lot of "fufu" fancy dishes--just good TexMex. We loved it and will definitely return!
