Where to eat Chinese food in Dickinson: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Malaysian cuisine features about 60% Southern Chinese cooking with 20% influence from India and 20% from Thai. The dishes give a very strong flavors yet not overpowering by the spices from India or Thai. We have a full bar and an indoor children play area
We spent quite a few years living in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia but haven't found any good Malaysian food since moving back home so we were excited to give this place a try. The flavors were not what we were used to eating overseas. It was very Americanized with a lot of dishes that weren't Malaysian at all (Lots of Thai, Indian, and other stuff) .I asked for Sambal Chili and got a blank stare. They finally brought me some Chinese Chili sauce from somewhere in California but it wasn't Sambal Chili.Even if you forget what the food should taste like, it was still bland and boring. We wont be going back.

Unless you travel FM 646 between League City and Dickinson, you may not know about this little strip center gem--I didn't until I saw the sidewalk tables with red umbrellas. The interior doesn't suffer from bright, impersonal florescent lights, giving it a more cozy vibe. The young Vietnamese waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items which represent Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese & Chinese cuisines. I opted for thin egg noodles with beef, chicken, shrimp & green onions which was good. Tried a half-order of Viet eggrolls which tasted good but were awfully small. The server said they have an excellent sushi chef. I'll get back for sushi and to explore the tempura items from Japan and Korean bulgogi.

I love Sesame House!! My favorite dish is Singapore Noodles, a slightly spicy, curry noodle combination. I usually call when I am 10 minutes away and my food is always ready. The staff is so nice, great service. I highly recommend!

We arrived at about 4:30, too late for the lunch menu. When we told the waitress we didn't want the huge dinner meal she said we could share, which we did. I got the miso soup while my husband had the salad with ginger dressing. Both were very good. We shared the teriyaki chicken and I took the fried rice and ordered a side of steamed rice for him. Even though the servings of the chicken and veggies were halved there was still a lot of food. Dessert with the meal was ice cream and I had the plum wine flavor. It was very good. We were both stuffed. The chicken was very good but the rice wasn't the best I've had until I mixed it with the chicken and veggies. Then it was okay. If we decide to return we would do it for lunch when the prices and servings are a bit smaller. Service was good and cheerful and the seating comfortable.

While visiting family on an impromptu trip we were having problems getting into a restaurant without hours long wait. We settled on 888 and am glad we did. The wait was less than five minutes and that was for them to pull a couple tables together for our party. Now to the main issue, the food. The portions were ample and very tasty. The overall cost was very good. Service was pretty quick and the wait staff were very friendly. So if you want to avoid s long wait and you are in the area give them a try. Friday dinner rush in this area is a beast.
