Great place to eat. French Fries can't be beat. VERY crispy and delicious. Hamburger is huge. Benefits an animal rescue site. I've been told the catfish is wonderful. Also the coffee is ground locally. Presently open Tues-Sunday 10:00-2:00. Specials every day.Thank you for visiting Chuckwagon Vittles and for your review! we've tried many different fries from several suppliers and these were voted the best by our customers. They are called "seismic crunch" fries. The catfish is farm-raised from Guidry's in southern LA. The coffee is roasted by Heart of Texas Coffee in Valley Mills TX. Hope to see you again soon!
There is nothing spectacular about this Subway. It's a Subway. The people who work here are very nice. They work hard to keep the dining room clean. The bathrooms are clean and the food is just as you'd expect from a Subway. If you stop, be prepared that everybody knows everybody here and all are super friendly.

Stopped while passing through Clifton and was pleasantly surprised. We had the weekday $6.99 special of chicken fried steak, yummy broccoli, and mashed potatoes with cream gravy. Delicious! And free blueberry cobbler topped with a scoop of ice cream. Now really, you just can't beat that!

Went to this popular local cafe for breakfast with my wife and family. Repurposed drug store with soda counter intact and other memories of the past posted on the walls. Homemade baked goods. Simple and delicious straightforward fare. Homemade biscuits with sausage gravy were a hit. Great selection of coffees including a nice strong pecan flavored one. Service was friendly, courteous and prompt. Love this place!!!

This may not have been the best barbeque that we have ever eaten, but it was outstanding. The brisket was lean and tender. Sausage was not greasy. Texas toast, potato salad, and fried okra were very good. Corn fritters were probably the best I have ever tried. For a town like Clifton, this is amazing. Will definitely go again. Oh yeah, price is reasonable.
