The hot and sour soup started the tasty dinner. The bowl is 3x the cup serving. Egg Roll was very good. The fresh made hot mustard really pops. The Moo Shu Pork was top shelf. Kung Pow Chicken was good. The Asian Eggplant was very tender and seasoned so well it almost overshadowed the the Moo Shu Pork. The staff was unusually slow due to slow times out of the kitchen, otherwise Iâd rate them higher.

My favorite cuisine! I truly love authentic Chinese food, Since visiting California many times starting in 1969 I have looked for good Chinese restaurants in what ever location I am in. That being said, I believe I have found the top of the list in The Dragon House, Southlake, TX. We arrived early for dinner and pleasantly surprised with the wonderful cordial welcome and beautiful atmosphere. Small bar and two chefs showing their great talent of hand preparing some of the food. It is a captivating display. Fantastic menu. Havenât had Dim Sim since California trips way back. Dragon has them. Wonderful and tasty. Then we had the Shredded Pork with duck sauce and the most delicate crepes I have ever seen, yum tasty.. Good wine and Beer choices.

If you ask most people what they want in a restaurant, the answer would probably be good food; cooks who are serious and professional about their work; polite service; and a clean environment. Pei Wei got one of those right today---the food was good. We were the second customers of the day, however, and there was only one dirty table spoon available in the utensil section. Worse, one of the cooks was clowning around and yelling. I couldn't understand what he was saying---maybe calling out a food order---but it was purposeful, obnoxiously loud, and extremely disturbing to those trying to enjoy their meals. He did it twice and then looked across the dining room to see if we were amused by his antics. So instead of enjoying my food, I sat there wondering about it being prepared in a dirty kitchen by someone with the social skills of a 13-year-old.

Another Panda, another good quick dine-in experience. If you want quick Americanized Chinese cuisine, dine at Panda. Conveniently located off the highway, you should be able to get in and out quickly. Friendly team of associates and the usual Panda fanfare.

On our first visit there we were offered booth seating with a bug crawling across the table. I requested another one that didn't have a bug. Probably an isolated incident but not a good first impression. To be fair, the manager did address it pretty quick. The Kung Pao Chicken was ok but overall the meal was just average. The service was good.
