Checked Trip Advisor for a local BBQ joint while visiting Boerne from Cincinnati; Fritze's had good reviews. We both ordered a pulled pork plate with two sides; sweet slaw and creamed corn for me, hash browns and pinto beans for my wife. The pulled pork had good flavor, but the sauce was disappointing; too thin and without much flavor. No tang whatsoever. The sides were all tasty, but nothing exceptional. The counter staff were very friendly, and worked quickly to serve us. We'll look for another place to try, next time.

There were 12 of us family members (ages 15 to 71) some of whom have been here a couple times before (my first time). We couldnât sit together so one table ordered for everyone, and our waitress suggested the quantities. We basically had one or two of everything on the menu. We did have the Wagyu brisket and as tasty as it was, there was a lot of fat, which meant a lot of waste. There are two sausages offered and one was delicious (spicy though) and the other one was mushy (Iâm guessing thatâs the wild boar) and no one liked that one. We had the cole slaw, creamed corn, Mac & cheese & the quail as sides plus a ton of food. We had leftovers which was fine, but I felt as though the server up sold us more than we needed, as it was Sunday at 2:00pm & they close at 4pm and donât re-open again until Thursday (hence they need to get rid of their food). Our bill for us was near $300 plus a tip. A little high for a very casual atmosphere. Would I go back? Itâs not near anything unless youâre going to Sisterdale winery or on your way to Boerne or Fredericksburg (which also have a lot of restaurants). So maybe?! I would have a better idea of what to order and what quantities.

For years, Smokey Mo's has served up delicious BBQ - everything from lean, melt-in-your-mouth brisket to tender, juicy chicken and turkey. Complete your meal with our mouth-waterin' hot buttered potatoes, signature potato salad, gooey mac n' cheese, or ho
ot being from Texas, I didn't realize this was a chain, and our schedule didn't permit finding another place. Friendliness of staff - 4, ambience - 3, food - 2. I may be a little harsh but after some of the barbecues we've been at that have been spectacular in the Hill Country, that charge the same amount per pound, this was a huge disappointment. The brisket was dried out and I couldn't even cut it with my Fork. I ended up tearing it with my hands. The pork loin in the sausage were mediocre. We threw the bums away as they were cheap grocery store buns. The mac and cheese was good thoughWe are sorry to hear you didn't have a great experience. We take your feedback seriously and hope you'll give us another chance.

Don't know if it is fair to rate Cascada for a catered corporate event. but the buffet was outstanding - Texas Barbecue - and service was excellent. Friendly folks doing their job well.
