It was Friday night and finished hunting early enough and was excited for their weekly Friday night fish fry special. It was disappointing from the moment we arrived. Fries were cold and old. When they finally brought out some more, they were cold too. Fish had been picked over, was cold, and spare choices. It looked like seconds or left overs literally. We were very disappointed. Food was edible and we didn't get sick so gave an okay rating for cold food. It was not near closing either which made it worse.

While winery hopping you might want something to eat. We fond there's not many options. This place has really good sandwiches cold beer and Texas wine. Great dining room in the old post office which is actually still in operation. It's also a short distance to several wineries and two distilleries. Check it out!

Stopped by for a few hours in the middle of the afternoon of a weekday. Couple of folks in the bar and a few more sitting outside listening to live music - a 6 string guitar player. Beer was cold, bartender was friendly. Outside they had a taco truck which turned out to be darn good. Luckenbach is a pretty historic place - dating back to before the civil war I believe. Mr Luckenbach was the first postmaster or something along those lines. The dance hall looked like you could really have a good time on a Friday or Saturday evening. There were many vineyards in the area - on the main road between Austin and Fredericksburg. Didn't want to stop since I was driving. If you are in the area, I recommend stopping in Luckenbach.
The Full Moon Inn - an adventure. The Inn Keeper is a good cook, she takes care of her guests and is always up for a conversation.

We came for dinner on our anniversary and were hoping for an upscale experience. The ambiance is nice, I wasnât thrilled to have to walk down narrow stairs in stilettos but Iâm still alive. I guess I was expecting a bit more from the food. The black truffle pizza was good but was really nothing special. It was a nice place but I donât think we would go again.Hello Corteney, thank you for your review. We are glad that you chose to visit us for your special anniversary occasion but we are sorry to hear that you were not fully satisfied. For anniversaries or other special occasions, we recommend our Supper Club restaurant. The Supper Club is the experience it sounds like you were looking for. It has a romantic and intimate atmosphere with a set course menu to ensure a special occasion becomes unforgettable. We do hope to serve you again the next time you are visiting Fredericksburg. Until then, safe travels!
