This is a family style restaurant with country cooking at its best. Everything cooked like grandma's house. Homemade desserts, homemade rolls or cornbread when available. Only 3 miles outside of Cameron. Worth the trip off the beaten path to come have a H

OMG! Where do I start.. First off, I can't believe this place has been open for 7 years and this is the first time I've been here. I was visiting my parents and looking for someplace new to go eat. I am so glad that i stumbled upon this place. I had chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans with a side of pineapple orange fluff. I also got a hot fresh biscuit, sweet tea and dessert all for $11.00! Wow! So much food and really good home cooking. Great friendly atmosphere and a pleasant drive in the country to find it. Sissy came out of the kitchen to make sure everything was alright and that we were satisfied. The food was delicious. A lot of fried food on the menu, but it was totally worth blowing my diet for! I don't eat comfort food all the time, but I know where I'll go the next time I have a craving. Highly recommend! TSXTravelover, Thank you for your review. We really enjoyed serving you. I'm so glad you were pleased. Hope we made you feel at home. The Chicken Fried Steak is my most requested, because it is not fried, its grilled, but sorry that does not take the calories out, just gives the wondrrful buttery taste. We do have grilled items for the next time you are in. Maybe the Southwest grilled chicken salad with my homemade chipotle ranch. But when you want comfort food, you chose the best.

I travel through Cameron a few times a year, but this was my first time eating at Texas Burger. I had the double meat with bacon. It was delicious! And the fries were even better! I will definitely be coming back. Yum!

We had dinner here on a Tuesday night and the place was almost empty. There was plenty of parking, and would have been plenty if a crowd had been there too! This is not a fancy place and the ambiance is quite lacking. It has both a bar and restaurant combined. We were promptly seated at a table and our server was right there. She was friendly and she knew the menu well. We ordered and our food came out in about the time we expected. It was hot and well presented. The portion sizes were average and we had plenty to eat.I had beef enchiladas and they were very good. The prices were average. With a little work this place could look a lot better and be more of a Mexican restaurant in appearance. We were surprised that we were the only ones in the place the entire time we ate there. Cameron needs to do a better job of supporting its restaurants! We saw no reason to be alarmed or to alert us that we should not eat there! We enjoyed the meal and are glad we stopped in. We have eaten there before and have always had good experiences. You can't go wrong by eating here. We will be back.

Chicken sounded like a.good idea so we stopped in at supper time on a Sunday. We figured it should be fresh but not overly busy at 5:30. We ordered the golden roast chicken plate and the tenders plate. The golden roast was over done and dry. The wc and cheese was bland. The tenders were dry and cold and like they had been sitting there all day . The gravy was not hot either. Literally luke warm at best. The Best part was the pepper puppers with the hot melty cheese and cornmeal outside. Love those. The dining area had several dirty tables and the floor needed sweeping. The trash was overflowing. It was not busy inside.either. Probably pass on by next time.
