What a great hidden gem in the very trafficked Mesa street in El Paso. The hotel staff recommended this sushi place. It was a 30 minute drive from the hotel to Sushi Garden but so well worth it. Great prices, very well proportioned rolls (we had the Banzai Roll and the Oktoberfest Roll), the kids shared a Teriyaki Chicken plate and we were served Miso soup, salad and Fried dumplings at no charge!! Our server Daniel was exceptional, top notch service! We'll definitely be back when we are in the EP area!

My daughter and I are visiting El paso, and since we have Teppanyaki where we live we decided to try this one since it looked huge and possibly have different or more choices. Was I wrong. just because its larger doesn't mean it is better....The service was slower since they have more tables to care for. The sushi bar was huge, but there were a lot of empty trays and some of the fish was still partially frozen. There were more soup choices but NO WONTON. Many of the trays were unlabeled so we had no idea what was in them or even how spicy. 1/3 of the trays were empty or had a couple of scoops of food left. no crab legs or even cooked mussels as they say they have. A lot of the pork they had was so burnt it was hard to chew or even eat. They served a lot of American foods like hot dogs and chicken. The stir fry looked fresh and a large selection there. I have to say...there were so many selections but not enough food. There was a line for ice cream which is a deal breaker as the wait is so long and kids should not take up that line or do it them selves since they get there h ands in it and drop the scoops...not clean at all. A good selection of fruits and jello, but too many :desserts: in some sort of cream based mixtures.....no identity to them as well. The could pay a bit more attention to the food trays when the dinner rush comes in from neighboring hotels and have some one go around wiping down the messes that are created.and not leave them to solidify on the hot surfaces.

What I like about this place is that what ever you order is prepared pretty and very good. My favorite thing is the gouda cheese with pretzels and the caprese some things are seasonal. My all time favorite is the tuna salad my family likes sushi there are many and good atmosphere

Sunny's Sushi is a cozy and casual family friendly Sushi restaurant that also offers Authentic homemade Korean food. It is conveniently located at 910 E. Tedd Road in an unostentious mall. The owner Sunny Ji is welcoming and still very much involved in cooking yummy Korean dishes. Try the "Soon topi chae lye" which is a Tofu Seafood Soup really tasty with a little bit of a kick! But of course many Patrons go for their excellent and consistent sushi rolls. Many sushi places open and close within less than a year in El Paso but Sunny has been a constant and stable sushi spot of the El Paso sushi scenery. Try their "South Padre", their "Kampai" as well as the "Mexican Orgasme" these Specials are delicious really wonderful! Sunny's Sushi may not be as sophisticated in their roll presentation as a place like "Dragon Fly" but it is really less pricey and really fresh! On the Korean side try the Traditional Bulgogi Dub Bab which is rice, bulgogi marinated beef, mixed vegetables with spicy sauce in a hot pot. Another great option is their "Teppanyaki Combination" which is served with House Soup, Salad, Veggies and some fried rice. The service is friendly and efficient as you always feel welcomed in Sunny's house.
