This large Mexican restaurant serves the well known Mexican fare in large portions. So if you are hungry, thats a plus. Tastewise, don't expect too much. I had the sirloin steak that was suffocating under melted cheese. The taste was distinctly bland, basically of all dishes (rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo). Plus, there was a complete absence of any spicy/hot taste and flavor. Basically, the dishes lacked finesse of any sorts. If other reviewers praise the quality of the food then I suspect they simply haven't been to good and authentic Mexican restaurants. But that's ok.In sum, Las Fuentes is just an average Mexican restaurant in the Texas countryside. No more, no less.

In going to work in this town, I kept noticing the mostly trucks pulling up to this small restaurant early in the mornings. After eating my egg, potato, and cheese burrito on homemade tortillas, I can see why. There are a variety of fillings, and they only charge $3.00!

We walked into another local popular Mexican restaurant and left immediately due the noise and the crowds. We stumbled upon this humble restaurant. The interior is very modest so don't expect a "trendy" atmosphere. The food was delicious and served hot in a relaxing, quieter environment which we appreciated. The prices are reasonable and the staff friendly.

Part of the central texas chain of guadalajara mexican places.... continuing the tradition of bland fatty filthy food
This little restaurant isn't particularly appealing on the outside, but we were in the mood for a lunch of Mexican food. It served a nice lunch buffet with a very fresh salad bar and a wonderful selection of Mexican entrees. The two of us enjoyed our meal and the service by the staff.
