We've eaten here at Jinya three times now, and enjoyed it every time. The menu includes mostly noodle bowls with chicken, pork, beef or shrimp. There are several delicious appetizers as well. We've tried the tempura brussel sprouts and the tempura shrimp, and they are both crispy and flavorful. I tried the spicy shrimp ramen bowl, and added kikurage (brown ear) mushrooms, tofu, and spinach to it. They have a nice bar, but a very limited wine menu. But we still managed to find a good Chardonnay here as well. They are usually playing a mix of Japanese fusion music, which we enjoyed. As customers come in and out of the restaurant, the wait staff yell something in Japanese, which I guess is like a universal "Welcome"; very funny. While there are some booths, most patrons sit at a very long community table. The average age of the majority of customers was in the 20's and 30's, so we are a little over their target market, I guess. But the service has been excellent, on each of our visits. Definitely recommend, if you love Japanese fusion food.

We had a large celebration dinner here, and the restaurant was fine for that -- large table and a pleasant waitress. Service was good enough, with glasses filled and drinks delivered as needed. The food was nothing special, but overpriced. The sushi was just okay-- fish was not extraordinarily fresh. The menu included a lot of oddball offerings that are not traditional sushi, but, rather, combinations intended to appeal to folks who don't know much about sushi. Tempura was heav and unappealing. Overall the food was a disappointment. The restaurant is on the expensive side for the mediocre quality of the food. I usually eat elsewhere for way less for much better sushi. Our party had a good time here, but the food left a lot to be desired for those of us who had spent time in Japan or in more ambitious sushi bars.

If you are into Sushi and sashimi, then this is your place in League City.I have been there approximately 10 times and have not been disappointed ever. I have sampled almost every dish on the menu especially those not cooked. Wonderful! The presentation is outstanding and at times a little flashy (literally). The waite staff keeps changing but are trained rather well and know the fish.

When deployed for months on end by a government agenc I usualy visit all buffets at least once. For many of them once is enough. However this particular one, although of not the most inviting exterior or parking lot (lots of potholes etc.) has an nice interior an a good selection of sushi and Chinese food. The table service is efficient and although not offering a senior discount prices are reasonable. Not a bad Buffet type place if that is what you are looking for but be prepared to do a little hop, skip and jump routine around the serving counters...â¦.the aisles widths between are meant for skinny, real skinny people!
