Cozy setting, friendly staff, fast service. The potato salad and cole slaw were good.The ribs were not "fall off the bone" tender, which is good if you like to chew off the bone. We prefer the other. The brisket and the ribs had good flavor and actually had a BBQ smoked smell and flavor. Overall impression of our group - pretty average for our tastes.

Had several trips to Texas and tried bbq in lots of places big and small and none met expectations UNTIL John Muellerâs Black Box BBQ. OMG âSlap your mommaâ BBQ. My wife and I had dinner here for the first time Friday evening. Sliced brisket plate with cream corn and delicious German style potato aslad for me and Sausage, cole slaw and German style potato salad for my wife. The brisket had a nice smoke ring and was very tasty. Try their rum BBQ sauce, it rocks, My wifes sausage was fantastic. It was so good, we bought a couple of pounds to take home. Now every time I pass the refrigerator, I have to grab one or two pieces.
