The atmosphere is all-around super at this very busy place with quick, attentive service. Come in and find a place to âlightâ and the friendly, energetic and efficient waitstaff will find you. Choose craft tap beers (65) from chalkboard on wall or choose from extensive written list of bottled- all reasonably priced. Wine on tap also available. Great Vietnamese fusion food choices. Shaking beef selection with fried rice (or with steamed rice) is superb with or without the side drizzle of spicy lime juice. Stir fry noodles with shrimp was excellent. Asked for amber beer recommendation and Blue Bridge Amber beer turned out to be superb. The amber beer, 2 Pinot Grigio, the two meals and the scrumptious bittersweet (chocolate cake) sundae dessert (enough for 2) bill totaled under $53. Check out this gem of a place!!

King's has stood the test of time. Less crowded than in year's past when there was less competition, but this is still my favorite place to go for Viet food in Houston's Bay Area. They serve the best spring rolls---pork is the way to go---with outstanding peanut sauce. Viet fried eggrolls, French-inspired Garlic Butter Wings and Singapore Noodles are good bets. Service is friendly and prices are reasonable. I hear the lo mein and fried rice are good, but I have not tried.

Although the place is in a strip mall, and it is walk-up ordering, and the menu is small, this place is a real deal. My boys and I had lunch here today. We shared an order of four large shrimp, wrapped in won ton wraps and then fried, very good. Also an order of 6 pan-seared pork dumplings, these were excellent. One son and I had the crispy pork banh mi, I had grilled pork banh mi, both with a fried egg--man, were these good! The eggs are a must add, they add a lot of flavor but also a nice amount of juiciness. Other son had a couple of Vietnamese tacos with chicken, said they were very good. Total bill with tip (yes, I even tipped at walk up ordering), including one drink, was $28. We will definitely come here again.
