The restaurant at the Gage Hotel
We recently enjoyed a dinner meal at the 12 gage. We arrived early for our reservation and were promptly seated. Our before dinner drinks were just as ordered. The service was efficient, friendly and classy without being stuffy.. The food was all very good and the presentation was nice too. Like one other review, my ribeye had that gristly piece of tendon that ran through it. It required some dissection to enjoy the steak, but the flavor was very good and it was cooked as ordered. We also enjoyed a recommended bottle of cabernet. Even though I consider the meal to be a bit pricy, we both had a very enjoyable evening. Recommended as a bucket list experience.

At the Gage Hotel
The White Buffalo Bar is a welcome and essential amenity to complete the offerings for a perfect stay at the Gage Hotel. The bar is cozy, unique, intimate, and attractive. Yes, a white buffalo head is mounted on the wall. Generously sized drinks are expertly mixed. We chatted with locals as well as hotel guests. The bar offered a comfortable place to relax.

These ladies are great, so warm and friendly. My wife and I had the El Rey and El Grande breakfastâs and they couldnât have been better. We ate until our eyes bugged out. Our coffee cups and water glasses were regularly topped up. The owner was bringing homemade baked pies to the glass display case and gave us a peach one to try. Delicious! So we got two of each of the peach, apricot and cherry for the road. All this for 37 bucks. Weâll be back!
