A family owned and operated Casual French Bistro in downtown Austin since 1982
This time-tested staple is not to be missed. I think I used to be under-whelmed by itâs modest and humble atmosphere. However, now that I spent time in France, Iâve come to learn itâs truly authentic. My husband has had the steak frites (tasty and reliable) several times recently and Iâve had both that and the salmon. The salmon is my new favorite - prepared simply and perfectly. Salads are always fresh and lightly dressed. Save room for dessert! Iâm celiac and I havenât had any trouble here - very accommodating and little requires modification. Makes our hearts sing to read your words ! Thank you for sharing it means a lot to us !! Merci beaucoup !

This spot was not on my radar but it was right by our hotel and we needed a snack before late dinner reservations.... I was VERY pleased and surprised by how good it was! We shared the Normandie and practically licked the to-go box clean.

A friendly, rustic cafe with very fresh food. Everything we tried was tasty and satisfying. The frittata-of-the-day was a large plate that included greens and a wonderful grainy bread. Blintzes are probably not your grandma's recipe, but soothingly creamy. Tuna Tartine was a large portion (again on a wonderful grainy bread) that came with chopped sun-dried tomatoes, greens and grapes. If you like tea, try the "Love Story" brew which is a heavenly match of black tea and chocolate.
