My wife and I read about this new breakfast and lunch restaurant in our local community flier. We are very supportive of our local vendors and decided to give them a try. It was a Sunday when we visited, no waiting and the seating area was about 1/3 filled. We were promptly seated and soon after our waitress came to take our orders. On the walls are slogans about waking up and having coffee and a smile, I don't think our waitress had her coffee this day. We received our first cup of coffee, placed our food orders and waited for our meals. It wasn't an unreasonable wait and a different person ultimately delivers the food. The breakfast was excellent. Hats off to the cooking team ! My wife raved about the blueberry pancakes and the corn grits. The bacon had a nice flavor and was plenty thick, the eggs abundant. I had the crab cakes benedict and they were excellent as well. Side of sliced grilled potatoes did the job. Our issue comes with the customer service both during and afterwards. After receiving our meal, we barely saw our waitress. We had to get up from the table and ask for more coffee. It was brought to the table with much of an attitude. We received the bill, again without a friendly delivery. When we asked to speak to a manager, since we thought a good owner/manager would like to hear feedback both positive and negative, the response was that they were too busy to meet with us. In today's competitive environment and with the amount of restaurants available to us in the Houston/Cypress area, service level is a differentiator. We wish these owners well with their new adventure and would recommend reviewing the handbook on customer service. Unfortunately, since the management team doesn't have time for their customers, these customers won't make time again for this eating establishment.Hi Joe,I am so sorry to hear that you did not receive the best service during your visit. I want to sincerely apologize that I was not able to come speak with you that day. Unfortunately, on this day, we had a couple back of the house employees not show up for work. When the hostess came to get me, I was filling in as the dishwasher and not able to get away. It is never our intention to not be available to speak with our customers and I am sorry it worked out that way during your visit. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the food. We would love for you to give us another chance. If you decide to, your meal is on me.
