Of course, calling a restaurant "Best place to eat in Dalhart" could be called damning with faint praise. However, the food at this steakhouse/barbecue joint is quite good. Not fine "continental cuisine," but tasty just the same. A range of meats from beef, pork, poultry and fish. No real vegetarian options unless you don't put meat on the salads. The interior is rustic, but nicely decorated. The staff are friendly and efficient. The prices aren't cheap but not outrageously expensive.

We checked TA to find a BBQ place as we were traveling across the country. This one lives up to itâs high rating. The brisket that we ordered was very tender and flavorful. There was a very large amount of food given for each dinner. The waitress was very friendly and prompt. The service was great. The decor is eclectic, old west, style metal silhouettes, wooden quotes and pictures. A very cozy place. The price is reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

First review on Trip Advisor for this great place. The food here was outstanding, real Texas steaks, with real flavor, great salad and rolls. This is in a dry county in Dalhart Texas but they are a "private club" so you have to buy a membership to have a drink. For my wife and I it was $3.00 for both of us for 3 days. Its well worth the price. The steaks as I mentioned earlier are great, but so are the drinks. The Manhattan I had was outstanding and it was an excellent pour in terms of amount. The staff was also excellent.Its within a mile of the new Holiday Inn and Suites which was also great.Overall its an excellent restaurant with outstanding food.
