We stopped by for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. Truly, I felt like we were in NOLA---lights were dim, tables elegant, paintings, music, mural, everything lined up. And the food...we started with fried alligator--what could be more Cajun? Our waiter was attentive and made sure I had enough water--gotta get the daily amount in! The food was spiced just right, we started with salad with came out right away. Then I had the shrimp po' boy and my husband had the balckened catfish. Delicious--not heavy good eating!

It may look like Mexican Long John Silvers on the outside, but go inside and your fresh good time awaits! Friends were meeting for early lunch and sharing beautiful exotic dishes, like the large ceviche in half-pineapple, or boquets of seafood arranged in molcajete bowls. Our waiter was perfect. Our first time here, we were overwhelmed by all the good choices in the extensive picture menu. My aunt took the waiter’s lunch special suggestion and got chalupas that are not on crisp taco shells, but on tender flat cornmeal beds. She loved them. We also got the avocado shrimp appetizer, which was not doctored up with any saucy business... it was simply garlic guacamole with large shrimp. I loved the ceviche I got... it had pieces of big plump shrimp, along with white fish and just a little octopus or squid. Lots of fresh pico and lime made it perfect, particularly because it was presented so beautifully, garnished with scalloped marinated cucumber. I tried the soup that accompanies lunch specials. It is mild and flavorful. I also loved how they served my Topo Chico —with a glass of rough ice, half-filled with straight, fresh-squeezed lime juice, salt on the rim. My mouth is watering now just thinking of pouring my cold Topo Chico into that glass and enjoying such fresh ceviche on large, plain chalupa chips.

We learned about Ernesto's from our neighborhood newsletter! If you are looking for excellent, tasty dishes in a romantic atmosphere, this is the place. Ernesto will not only suggest his most popular dishes (They are yummy) but he will serenade you as well. Ernesto's is an experience, not a fast mexican joint. White table cloths, freshly made margaritas and homemade ice cream for dessert. I had steak topped with lobster and grilled shrimp. My husband had the baked red snapper. Our friends had grilled snapper and the San Antonio steak dish. Not a morsel left on our plates! Can't wait to take my mom! Charming place!

Convivial chain dishing up hearty portions of New Orleans-style seafood, steaks, salads & more.

We live this chain and have been to so many cross state, this time we unexpectedly found a long black hair in my husbands crawfish étouffée, I’m blond and he’s a gray hair. We did inform the waiter and manager explained we were not looking for a freebie but they might want to check the batch or have a policy to wear hair nets. Waiter offered to make a new one but we declined. We were surprised of the prices since we just ate at a Brazilian steak house and it was actually around the same price as our lunch here. Needless to say we probably won’t be back any time soon.

It was a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant wasn’t too busy. Definitely a nice restaurant to enjoy a relaxing meal.

We were recommended this small bistro from our hotel concierge, and it was a phenomenal experience. The arepas and tequeno appetizers were tasty and just the right portion size. I had a great filet and my date loved, loved, LOVED the Red Snapper entree. They have a small but varied wine list, and great service. The owner stopped by a few times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, and, the entire experience was a solid a+. It can get a bit cold in there, but other than that, the decor, food and service were top notch.

The food, ambiance, location, staff were all very good. You get good value for what you get in food and service. The location is very convenient, the only thing that stopped this vist from being a perfect rating was the parking was horrendous, we had to ride around for about 5-20 minutes as the clutter of cars in and out settled down to manuver, if you have or make reservations give yourself the extra time to park and get inside, other then that it was very good overall.
