This review is in response to the 3 newest ones complaining about being kicked out. Seriously??? Donât go eat out at closing time!! The employees have lives too. Yes, you are going to be asked to leave when you are sitting around chit chatting after closing time. Get over yourselves. The world doesnât revolve about you.
Lots of choices and variations to select when having them assemble your bowl, burrito, taco, etc. All made fresh and assembled in front of you. Great fresh lemonade, my favorite complement to my tacos! Friendly service, quick and delicious!

Visited Don Nico's with family a few days ago and had the tamales with rice and beans and an unsweetened tea. My food came out hot and fresh as expected. The time between ordering and receiving the food was outstanding. The service was excellent and my tea glass never ran empty. The atmosphere is traditionally Mexican and there are televisions on most walls, providing entertainment and breaking monotony. The dining areas were clean and organized and the restrooms were clean and well stocked. Prices are good and there is ample parking on all sides. I really liked the taste of the food and the never ending tea refills. If you are looking for great Tex-Mex in the 'Ville, look no further than Don Nico's. I'm betting you will love it, too. Safe travels, y'all!

My husband and I were traveling back from Austin and wanted some good mexican food for lunch. In searching the web we saw this place listed and decided to check it out. Wow were we surprised with what we found. It may be little but it is big on taste. The Queso was exceptional and the hot sauce was off the charts good.I ordered a plate that had two chile rellenos on it which I never see and they were really good. The staff was super sweet and very fast, my be worth a trip back down there just to eat here again.

Family Owned and Operated Since 1992. Serving homemade Tex-Mex to Stephenville and surrounding communities.
We went for a late supper and it was a large empty room which I liked and the service was quick and friendly. I ordered the Burritos which didn't taste like the type I am used to with beans and rice, instead it had some sort of ricotta cheese inside and beef. It tasted more like Italian food to me but I enjoyed it nonetheless. No margaritas which was a bit disappointing. My hubby ordered the enchiladas especiale which he said were just ok. It was inexpensive and I was really hungry so I enjoyed it. I would go back again to try the fajitas. The guacamole was very good. The waitress was attentive and efficient.
Jalisco Restaurant has good tacos, burritos, and unique refried beans that kind of have a smokey flavor which I really like. I have only done the drive through, and have never even been inside, but it works out great because they give a bag of their chips and a couple of cups of salsa (which has a nice kick to it and has good flavor) with your order. I usually get either the barbacoa tacos or al pastor tacos, but I recently got a barbacoa burrito, which I think is possibly a better value because it was packed with meat. All the ladies that do the drive through are always very nice, and the food is ready almost as quick as most fast food restaurants. Definitely authentic Mexican food. Lost a point because half the time the tacos are covered in grease by the time I make the 5 minute drive back to my house.

HUGE portions reasonably priced. Seriously, a combo plate has enough food for two people! For an appetizer, we got the Table-Side guacamole. SOOO yummy! We don't live there but now I've eaten there twice and it certainly did not disappoint either time. Salsa has just the right amount of heat. Service is extremely efficient. This will be my go-to restaurant every time I'm in town. LOVE it!!!
We dropped in while waiting on a movie. Their sweet tea is the best in town. The employees are friendly and it is very clean. My wife had a problem with her taco salad and they immediately made it right. I really appreciate an establishment that is eager to serve the public. The food is fresh and they make it with pride. We love this Taco Casa.

They are on FaceBook, but I don't think they have website. Small restaurant in smallish town.
Stopped here on a road trip for dinner. Decent food, but certainly not the best Mexican food I've ever had. Found a hair in the chips which kind of turned me off. I was surprised it wasn't all that busy considering the good reviews. Prices were very reasonable, though.
