This small (but ample seating and free pool) family-owned restaurant is always A+. We enjoy a meal of giant burgers, home-cut fries, and a side of beef tacos. I get the Texas Burger (giant hand pressed beef patty) on golden grilled Texas toast, crowned with crispy, deep-fried onions, cheese, and drowning in BBQ sauce. It's a sloppy, get-it-on-ya, wear some home with pride kind of burger. The service is fast and friendly. The prices low and fulfillment high. Drop by and enjoy some good people and good food.
We had a potato and egg, bean and cheese with bacon, and a barbacoa. It was all cooked well the eggs weren't burnt which is a pet peeve of mine. The bacon was crispy! The barbacoa was well seasoned but wished there was more in the taco. Great prices. Not bad, the only thing missing was homemade tortillas.
There's a new restaurant in the Live Oak / Forum area which is definitely needed because of the large volume of consumers but this place has missed the mark (at least for now). Focus on the positives first: the queso is definitely worth trying but the chips were not all that great. Love the multi-variety Coca-Cola soda dispenser - how often can you get raspberry coke zero! The bad - if it is your first time to eat there the menu seems very confusing. Names of burrito options like JOEY BAG OF DONUTS, THE HOMEWRECKER, and the ART VANDALAY -- but no description of what the differences are. Same thing for the remaining menu items which are limited to Tacos, Quesadillas, Nachos, or Salads. Quality and taste would be considered bad - I've had worst but this is now where close to being pleasing to the palate. 2 entrees, 1 drink, and 1 queso/chips (no refill on chips btw) = $17.00
When I review my receipts I will probably find over 20 for the last three months alone. This place is a weight-watcher's heaven. The food is healthy. The portion sizes are equivalent to their price and the staff is excited to serve you. I rarely eat at the restaurant but the atomosphere is great for those who like inside or outdoor seating. There is a limited selection of adult beverages and other non-alchoholic beverages as well. I generally get the salad or bowl with grilled chicken and nearly all the trimmings. I've been going here so long I believe most of the staff know me by name. This is a great place to get excellent food that will not take you off your "meal plan" or if you simply want a light lunch or dinner. GREAT FOOD! EXCELLENT SERVICE!

This is one of those places where once you are seated to eat, you find yourself asking yourself how you ended up in the chair you are in. Don't get me wrong, this is one of those places that you will not hate however, you will not rush to the post office to send out a post card either. Food is of generic mexican restaurant quality.

Ate here with family on my way out of San Antonio and wasn't pleased. With all the wonderful Mexican food in San Antonio, I hate I wasted my time and money here! It took forever to get our food, and it was cold when we did get it. Our waiter was terrible, he never returned to fill any glasses. I've eaten at other Las Palapas locations in San Antonio and they were very good. This particular location definitely dropped the ball!
Picosito Mexican Cuisine is located on Toepperwein in Live Oak, TX. and offers authentic Mexican cuisine from great breakfast tacos to awesome lunch plates.
This small mon/pop Mexican restaurant is located on Toepperwein Road in Live Oak, Tx. The food is generally good, and the portions are generous. It is a clean place and has good service. Breakfast is always good whether you get American style or Heuvos Rancheros, or a migas plate. Single tacos are also good, either soft or crispy.Worth the time to stop by.

Unsurprisingly the San Antonio area is dotted with Tex-Mex restaurants and we ended up visiting Chuis in Selma. The menu had s good variety and I had the stuffed avocado tacos platter which was very good. Others too found their dishes viz. the veggie combo, the taquitos & veggie enchiladas satisfying. Would recommend.

We tried Nichaâs weekend breakfast buffet for the first time. While the selection was not huge, it was very, very good! Their enchiladas were tasty, the rice & beans had awesome flavor, and their menudo excellent! They had more but we decided to save that for next weekend. It is a very good deal for $10.99. The staff was very friendly too!Thank you for joining us for our buffet! Our team is looking forward to having you back on the weekend.

This restaurant continues to provide customers with high quality Mexican food at a very reasonable price. The wait service is excellent and courteous all the time. The selection is quite extensive, and every item I have ever ordered has been delicious, fresh, and hot when served. This is a great place for an individual, a couple or families. The enchiladas are especially wonderful and authentic.
