This ia the most ugly, dirty, unhelthiest okace I ever been. Filthy floors, dirty tables, stinky and muddiest resrooms like if you were in a park after a heavy rain. The food is like totally made of artificial, packed and canned food... absolutely nothing seems to be fresh. We were a party of 6, and the ONLY ones who took a little longer to immediately walk out, were the ones who went to the restroom... I am surprised the Code Compliance Department has not shut down permanently this place!

Don't let the appearance and location of this little restaurant discourage you from experiencing a taste of Mexico. It's location that is connected to a auto/tire shop isn't the most attractive but do yourself a favor and give it a try. The actual restaurant is a little run down on both the inside and out, but we come for the food , not the ambiance. The food is derived from the city of Guadalajara, Mexico. We have eaten here several times and have never been let down. They offer breakfast dishes as well as desserts and everything in between. I highly recommend the chilaquiles rojos plate and barbacoa tacos from the breakfast menu.(which is available all day) Their chips and salsa are always on point and a great way to start your meal. If you are a fan of spicy food then this is your place. They have several televisions here that are typically playing sports (usually soccer or NFL depending on the time of year). The only cons that I can think of are that at peak times the wait can be pretty long and parking can sometimes be a challenge. Pricing here is very reasonable and service here is average to good. Overall, the food is the star here and the main reason why we keep coming to this establishment.

They labeled all of our wraps incorrectly. What should have been chicken was beef. What should have been spicy beef was regular beef. Needless to say the kids ate the food without being upset. Only 1 wrap had burnt ashes on top.

Got the chimichanga. Smallest I've ever seen in my life. Chicken was more like a paste mixture inside. Absolutely no chicken flavor at all. Tried beans were on the runny side, but ok. Rice was great. Nachos were different. I will leave them at that. Enchiladas came out with some sort of sauce on it that had no flavor, and apparently good the flavor of the enchiladas. Salsa for the chips was more like a tomato paste with a few spices added. Had to add salt to give it a little life. No refills on the horchata. Since was excellent. Only the food was bad. I will NOT be returning to this one.

We went to the Crandall, TX Taco Casa, a fairly new location, perhaps just a couple of years old. Service was poor, lots of people standing around, none of the workers seemed to want to take our order or cared how long it took to get around to taking it.Selection is very limited, and everything we ordered seemed to be rather bland, and smothered in cheese, as if it were

After a few years away, I had dinner here a few weekends ago with friends. The chicken mole enchiladas were even better than I remembered! Also tasty were the pork and chicken tamales, and the enchiladas suizas. Their rice is fluffy too, not greasy and heavy as tex-mex rice sides so often are.The service was friendly and prompt. The only down side was the strolling singer who added to the already high volume of noise in the restaurant. Still, the food was so good that it was worth it.

I've been coming to Vera Cruz for years, and while some visits have been better than others, my recent visit was among the best. Friendly, swift service by our experience waiter had us seated with our beverage orders in very short time. The salsa is very good and the chips thin and warm. I chose the Villa Rica combination of three blue corn enchiladas with three sauces: pipian, salsa verde, and molé. Delicious! The swirl margaritas were tangy, not sweet; there are drink specials for happy hour. My friend's enchilada with cheese and red sauce was also really good. My only quibble is that the server was so efficient, he rushed us and had our checks on the table before I'd even finished the entree. Once he realized we'd hunkered down to chat, he stopped rushing and let us linger.

Fresh ingredients, good food. Inside wasn't exceptionally clean but they have seating outside, which is nice. Across the street from the park. I will be back.

I used to eat here about once a week, I stopped going here about 5 years ago.You have to question the cleanliness of this place... just look at all the food particles in the cracks of the wood tables. I don't think they have ever been properly cleaned. The food is lousy... not just one thing... the whole menu !!!The live band or whatever you want to call it on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday evenings plays way too loud for such a small space. It was so loud I couldn't hear any of the people I was with without having to shout. Gave me a friggin' headache. Back to the food... Like I said, I used to eat here about once a week and I've had almost everything on the menu.... NEVER AGAIN !!!They have a bad roach and mouse problem.... SO GO AT YOUR OWN RISK !!!The April 2017 date isn't correct.... but it wouldn't allow me to put in my own date.
