Wonderful Mexican food. Magnificent food! Perfectly prepared, graciously served. I was greeted at the door and chose a seat at the counter. Ordered breakfast that was everything I had been looking for in a meal. Small, friendly place. Only open for breakfast and lunch. Cash only. Parking is a challenge. Important not to park in the spots that are marked for other businesses. Worth parking a short distance away to get to great food!

There is an error on this Tripadvisor listing! Tripadvisor says that 4 out of 5 reviewers say this restaurant is excellent. But, there are only 4 reviews! Every reviewer rated this restaurant as excellent! I went back, and it was as great as it was the first time I went. This is an excellent restaurant that needs the correct Triadvisor rating.

Good portion sizes but food was nothing special. You come in and order at the cashier stand and leave a tip before you even receive any service. I donât believe you should tip here since you will not see any kind of service after ordering except for someone bringing your food to you. The portion sizes were good but you can get MUCH better Mexican food at many other restaurants in Del Rio. Refried beans were good. Thatâs about it.

Many years back the restaurant inside the somewhat pretentious Ramada Inn in Del Rio, Texas was one of the better places to enjoy good food and a great buffet. These days I honestly feel that the only thing that remains is the pretentious atmosphere, but the good food and quality have dissipated significantly. I have some good memories that go years back eating at this restaurant. I don't remember if it was called Malinda back then, but I do recall it was a better overall place to eat in those times.

It seems a lot of restaurants in Texas are closed on Sunday - understandable - but we were glad that El Palenque was open until 2:00. This is a wonderful family run Mexican restaurant with delicious food cooked to order and served with a smile. It was very busy when we arrived about 1:00 but our food arrived very quickly non the less. There is a wide range of dishes including some you don't often see on typical Mexican menus like paralida which looked great for a large group. Don't miss this spot if you are in Del Rio, Texas.

Excellent selection of Mexican dishes at reasonable prices. Excellent service. We did the buffet which had an excellent variety. Food was delicious with the pollo (chicken) mole particularly flavorful. The waiter said the mole sauce was his fatherâs family recipe. Best mole Iâve had in years.

Chintoâs is a mainstay in Del Rio. This family run business can be counted on to provide the best tacos anywhere in Del Rio. The tacos are big, well stuffed, and absolutely delicious. I especially like their breakfast tacos. But, the bottom line is this is just good old âcomfort foodâ. Enjoy it! And put a bunch of their excellent green salsa on it!

We were looking for a great restaurant to begin our first evening of family celebration for our son getting his Air Force pilot wings, and read great things, which our son was able to confirm about Memo's. The Mexican restaurant, Memo's, has been family owned in Del Rio since 1936. It is not a large restaurant, but has a bar, pool table, very good food and hospitality, with a view of a small river or large creek. Not on the beaten path, and in fact when driving you wonder if your GPS is giving you the wrong directions, but it is not and it is in a nice and quiet location worth the trip for family made Mexican food. They play live music on Thursday nights as well, which you can definitely tell from all of the pictures on the walls. If ever in Del Rio, TX, going to Laughlin Air Force Base, etc., you should definitely stop by. They take reservations, and close between lunch and dinner.

The meal is ordered and then brought to your sea, and it was delicious. The staff was a tad unfriendly, but the food more than compensated for that. The main reason I ate here was to try the outrageously delicious Julio's Corn Chips with the fantastic salsa. The seasoning called Julio's Seasoning is one of the best around. The trouble is, if H.E.B markets and Thriftway are not around, then it can only be bought on line. The cafe was clean, and fairly busy, so that proves the food is great.

While traveling along the southern US border we wanted the local food. I had dismissed "steakhouse" option until I saw another review that said not to let the name keep you from having some excellent Mexican food. They were right. The chili rellenos were the best we had on the trip. One can choose beef or cheese or both. The waitress advised "both" and they were delicious. Note: Mild favored, not hot. My companion had the chili relleno that included a variety of other traditional dishes and said they were all good. The service was excellent--friendly, helpful and efficient. Bathrooms in good working order and clean. The house margarita was delicious. They had a large selection of local and Mexican beer. Next time we go that way we will definitely go back even though it was a slight detour from our chosen route.
