Reviews on Mexican food in Dallas, Texas, United States. You may have all heard that everything is bigger in Texas. Well, Dallas does its best to fulfill that promise. You'll find several museums with vast art collections and fascinating specialty museums like The Sixth Floor Museum/Texas School Book Depository, which, though small in size, offers an immense amount of information about the assassination of John F. Kennedy. And of course, visit a local steakhouse for a terrific (and enormous) meal.

There are several Chuy Restaurants around the DFW metroplex, but this specific one in the Knox/Henderson area of Dallas has a special place in my heart. I've been visiting this location since the early 90's when it was a novelty Mexican restaurant expanding from Austin, TX. My twenty something kids grew up going here. We've sat in the hubcap room, the Elvis Booth, at the bar, in the fountain room and in the main dining. All the areas have a different fun look.I am still a fan of their Tex-Mex flavors. The seasoning and sauces are great. Boom-boom sauce is my go to. The jalepeno ranch is genius. All of their food is great. Hatch Chile Season is a must do.I have had some bad experiences over the years from poor servers to mixed up orders, but I keep coming back. Now it's more of a tradition and/or nostalgia.

Famous for more than thirty years of Legendary Tex-Mex, Pappasito's Cantina is known for the flavor, freshness and quality of their food and drinks! Pappasito's Cantina serves up succulent, sizzling fajitas, hand-crafted drinks and some of the best chips
First time visiting this eating establishment. I did not have to wait too long. At first the service started slow but picked up nicely. We ordered the tabletop guacamole appetizer and the steak burrito entree, and the flavors were mouth watering good. This franchise should be all over the southern states

Iâve heard about this place for years and finally tried it last night. Drinks and service were great. June was our server. Food is good and expensive. Cigars were overpriced. In summary this is a place to be seen in Dallas with lot of pretentious folks. Once is enough.

Feeling a little chippy and dippy on my last day in Dallas. Mi Cocina answered the call with queso, pico de gallo, guacamole, and fresh chips. Jaimes, my server, was Perfect. He kept everything flowing and fresh until I could eat and drink no more. I highly recommend Mi Cocina (and Jaimes) to you!

Got here at 5:30 pm on Thursday. Seated immediately. Great chips and salsa! Wonderful! Our waiter was great. Our food came lighting fast. We had chicken fajita nachos and Pollo Chipotle. The nachos came with tons of cheese and chicken on them, guacamole sour cream and pico. Delicious! Huge plate. The Pollo Chipotle came with a tasty salad, rice, refried beans, grilled vegetables and a large chicken breast covered in a smoked spicy fantastic sauce with a touch of heat.Everything on he plate was delicious! The atmosphere was great! The only problem was $10.00 parking. Definitely worth the trip. It exceeded my expectations and I love Tex Mex!The margaritas were also very tasty!

Good Friday night just before 6p. Easy parking in front. A well-dressed married couple asks for a table. When asked if we have a reservation, and we say 'No," we're escorted through a 3/4 empty main dining room to the low-ceilinged, dark back room. There, nothing but families with small children. When we leave less than an hour later, the main high-ceilinged dining room is maybe 2/3 full with mostly younger patrons and maybe one child. Our food? The Budin Azteca Vegetales was undercooked zucchini chunks surrounding a tasteless, stacked square of tortillas and cheese. My wife's tacos were standard fare. MM is also about the only place in town to charge for a side of corn tortillas ($3 for 4). We passed. Service was attentive. We've been here for years and had great experiences. Now, given the plethora of Mexican restaurants in town, including other Mess Maya locations, we won't be returning to this one.

Third time I've been here while in business trip and staying at the Westin.Food is consistent but not overly creative. The margaritas with sangria are a hit. Definitely a solid choice if in the area.Easy to get seating and nice view of the skating rink. Again, if I'm at the Westin I will come here to eat.

This restaurant came as a highly recommended lunch choice. Many people knew of this restaurant because it was not a traditional Tex-Mex establishment. The dishes were well cooked and the flavors were amazing. The service was good. The appetizers came quickly and were quite tasty. The main courses were large and well prepared. We had the blueberry cake for dessert which was amazing. I donât know much about the other restaurants in this area but I would recommend this for its traditional Mexican cuisine and wonderfully flavored foods.

E Bar Tex-Mex is a trendy Uptown Dallas Tex-Mex restaurant and Mexican restaurant with a full bar serving amazing Tex Mex dishes as well as cocktails, beer, and wine. We also have some very appetizing tacos and salads that will make your mouth water. If y
I have been fortunate to eat variations of authentic Mexican in Mexico via local dives and fine restaurants. Also, all over the Southwest in Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. E-Bar excelled in food and service. We started with great Queso, warm corn tortillia chips, and zesty red salsa. My wife ordered Soft Tacos with fajita beef and I had Jorge's Tacos. My wife's soft flour taco plate had wonderful fresh lettuce/tomato/onion/cilantro with rice and beans. My Jorge's tacos had 2 fajita beef and 2 shredded chicken tacos with wonderfully grilled crisp corn tortillias, great green salsa, and plenty of the lettuce/tomato/onion/cilantro chopped vegetables. Also on the plate were wonderful refried beans. Our server, Mahlet was absolutely fantastic. We did not have to wait for refills on water and lemon. If I am ever in Dallas for another visit, this will be my first restaurant meal. I am not sure how our meal could have been better.
